Not for serious Nordic walkers
I do a 5km Nordic walk every day using one-piece, carbon-fiber Nordic walking poles. They're a dream to walk with... lightweight, well-balanced, strong, and silent.I bought these collapsible ones as a pair of travel Nordic walking poles because I'm going on a trip and didn't want to pack my regular Nordic walking poles. I figured that they'd do the job, and at $30 I wouldn't be out much money even if I only used them for the trip. Unfortunately, they click and rattle with every step. I went on my usual 5k Nordic walk today with these poles (thankfully with my own rubber tips, so as not to damage the ones they came with) and the noise drove me crazy. I had to return them because I certainly won't use them on my trip. They're also heavier (which I expected) with more weight toward the tip (which I didn't expect), making the poling rhythm more difficult. So, even at $30, I really can't recommend these, even to new Nordic walkers. They certainly aren't suitable for serious Nordic walkers. They do work and have proper Nordic walking grips and gloves, so I gave them three stars.
