Well built light - not too strong
Packed in a nice box, it looks and feels quality. Very easy to fit it onto a bike; my only concern is brightness; despite two LEDs it feels rather weak, especially in static mode. When it is flashing, it is much better.

Small and compact & USB chargeable, no battery or installation required.
This rear bike light is small and compact and no battery required as it's rechargeable with USB cable (provided). It takes about 3 hours to fully charge and you'll know it’s fully charged when the flashing red light turns steady. It has 4 light modes - 3 flashing and 1 steady. I tried one of the flashing modes and the steady mode and they both lasted full 12 hours, the steady one lasts max. 12 hours and flashing ones lasts more. It's bright and powerful and no installation required as it has a silicone strap like a watch that goes around and secured with a small hook but no clip for extra security, so not sure about durability and reliability on long term. If anything, the strap could be much longer as it was a bit tricky to get the hook in place (as the hook is small) but managed it in the end.I would definitely charge it fully before any journey to ensure it'll last for the day but would still keep my battery powered one as spare in my back in case this one need charging (that's just what I'd do if I was using USB chargeable one as I can't charge it on the go if needed).Overall, I am happy with the brightness level and quality but the strap was a bit let down for me which reduced my rating to 4 stars.

Decent at this price point
This is a decent enough rechargeable rear bike light at a fair price. It's not perfect though. To use, it's a long-press to turn on and off, short press to cycle between modes (of which there are four: constant, and three different flash sequences). A good feature is the light's memory - when you turn it on, it comes back on in whichever mode it was in when it was turned off. Not enough lights do this! Another plus is the slight upward tilt of the light in its bracket, meaning that it points straight, not down, when mounted on a seatpost. Again, well done. But the not so good - the rubber cover on the micro-USB charging port feels like it won't last five minutes. And the aforementioned mount - the light is permanently fixed to it, so you have to remove it every time you want to take your light off. This won't appeal to some, especially as the mount secures with an S-clip which, experience suggests, will either break or loosen and fall off at some point. Plus it's only 15 lumens, apparently. I know it's a backlight, so doesn't have to be a searchlight, but even so, 15 lumens is not that bright - you wouldn't want to use this as your only rear light. But as a lightweight, small and smart-looking second light, this might do a job for you.

Not bad but could be a bit better even at this price range
I cycle quite a lot for commuting and for leisure, and I have owned and reviewed countless bike lights from major manufacturers such as Garmin and Catseye to lesser-known brands such as Hornit. This is the second Hornit light I have reviewed, and this isn't too bad especially when you consider the low price of £11.99 (which is the asking price at the time of review in April 2023).This Hornit TRACE light is similar to many rear lights in this price bracket in size and design, but given we are in 2023, it is a shame that this comes with Micro-USB charging and not USB-C. Secondly, the water resistance rating of just IP44 will just about do for most bike users, but it would have been great to see it nearer to IP7 or similar. For fun, I did put the light on in my bathroom shower for about 10 minutes, and it coped. However, those two issues aside, this TRACE is light in weight, easy to mount, and has a nice number of settings to help you be seen by other road users. The maximum lumens is only used in daytime, which is "Daytime flash", and the other settings are either 5 lumens or 2 lumens, which is fairly standard for this price bracket of rear lights. When it arrived, it had no charge, so I connected it to a fast charger. I didn't take note of when it actually got fully charged, but it was definitely within 2 hours (possibly quicker). I did turn it on, and put it on the daytime flash setting overnight, and it was still flashing about 8 hours later when I woke up, which was impressive.Given the price, this is not a bad little light, and it would have been five stars for this review, had it not been for those two issues I mentioned earlier. However, 4-star reviews are ones that I can still recommend to you.

Simple and useful
A very nice small light which is extremely easy to install. Has different flashing options and utilises a rubber clip to connect to the bike frame. The build quality also seems nice.

Adaptable to daylight changes
Twilight cycling down London's bustling streets used to have an element of stress. But not anymore. Despite the rain, the mist, the unpredictably of it all, this little light endures. The choice between four light modes allows me to adapt to changing daylight, or the lack thereof. It's so lightweight that even my daughter’s bike sports one, happily blinking away on our weekend rides. The ability to recharge offers relief from the constant search for replacement batteries. The hours of illumination it provides is a testament to its robustness. It has become an integral part of our cycling routine.

Good bike light
This is a nice little bike light, easy to charge up and fit, seems to last well, not really bright as it's not big but good enough.

Decent basic rear light
There are many, many lights out there like this. It’s small, reasonably bright, and lasts a while. It’s not quite the cheapest of these I’ve had, but it does the job well.
