HOBOT-198 Glass and Window Cleaning Automatic Robot with Remote Control

After using it for several windows, this is what I learned:1. Cold windows on a cool day cause Hobot to struggle if the yellow cloths are wet.2. If the yellow cloths are too wet, Hobot will slide around and will have trouble moving the way he's supposed to.3. I had to do several passes on my windows because they were very dusty and grimy.4. Doing one (or two or three) pass with some liquid, followed by another pass with completely dry cloths gives a good result.5. For mysterious reasons, Hobot decides sometimes that he's all done, even though he only did a small part of the window. To reset it, remove it and replace it on the window. Because of this, I supervise Hobot while he's working so I can monitor his reluctance to do the whole window.6. I settled on putting Hobot at a top corner of the window (either by hand or using the up arrows), then using the arrows to move him back and forth at the top, then starting the "upward" auto sequence. Hobot goes up to the top, then works his way down. He has an easier time going down than up.7. At the end, I took a cloth to wipe off the last marks Hobot leaves upon finishing the window.8. Hobot is on the noisy side, so those photos in the ad with the person sitting and relaxing while Hobot is washing the windows is a bit misleading. It's not relaxing to be next to Hobot while he's working. But, it's really great to be able to do other things while the window gets automatically cleaned. Also, the results are much better than when I would do it.

I’m not happy at all with this item it slips off the walls Im doing Exactly what it said to do it falls off the walls fell on the floor a few times it’s just horrible I lost my money so sad that people would sell this and take people money

The media could not be loaded. This does great for our floor to ceiling windows on 17 ft and 14 ft ceilings in San Antonio. We learned a hack, just use a swiffer stick pad to clean the loose dirt off the high rise windows, first. Also, while the hobot is running, spray window cleaner once or twice on the really dirty areas. The hobot cleaner can clean it up like super clean. No streaks or whatever those basic reviewers complained about.It was amazing the cleanliness this product delivered.EDIT: he says that it did not save any time because he watched it in case it fell off the windows. But he says it did save amount of work being done. Watching a robot do the work instead of being on a ladder and cleaning he says is 6 stars!

I live in a high-rise on the water with floor to ceiling windows, that get quite dirty after a few months, or if it rains. I really wanted this to work, but it only succeeded in slight improvement. A few years ago I paid $450 for a Winbot, that was worse.

Not what was expected after view all videos, readed and used. Not to strong suction on vertical surfaces.

me gustó mucho el robot , el problema que tiene es que se desenchufa solo de la base eléctrica. y por ende deja de funcionar.

It takes a little time to get used to using the Hobot. 1st it take very little cleaning solution on the lower pad. Too much and it will slip on the window. 2nd its slow and does require you to monitor it. The Hobot is programed to clean the window completely but you can interrupt it and order it to go over any area that may need more cleaning Its great in hard to reach windows and it can be controlled by your phone; parring is very easy. I have cleaned all the windows and I am impressed with the results I would recommend it

Tiene una falla de diseño grosera que en mi caso significó su destrucción: cuando por cualquier razón se pierde la energía, la pila de seguridad se activa pero el control remoto pierde conexión con el robot y es imposible recuperarlo. La batería se agotó y cayó golpeándose y se destruyó. El cable de seguridad no sirve para ese efecto porque no se puede tirar sin perder la succión... La solución es no inhibir el uso de los controles cuando está operando bajo batería de seguridad pero yo y perdí mi dinero
