LeSportsac Classic Medium Weekender Bag and Removable Pouch

Very light weight. holds a ton of stuff. the problem with it the pockets are all very large (besides the ones on the sides) so there isnt a good place to stash stuff away. I use this as my every day work bag. Carry my shoes, lunch, book, ect. I do not see it being big enough for a weekend bag.

BULKY HARDWARE CLIPS ON STIFF STRAP - I'm so disappointed with my new LeSportsak black Medium Weekender bag. I had 2 of these bags for over 20 years and they were so light weight and comfortable. My new bag just arrived with big heavy hardware clips for the removable strap that are inappropriate for the bag's size and weight. Not only do they look UGLY, but they make the bag heavier than it used to be. If I wanted bulky hardware on a bag, I wouldn't have considered LeSportsac. They took a perfect bag and ruined it.My older versions had the straps sewn on, which was never a problem and made the bag light as air. That's been important to me, as I have a bad back. If they HAD to add clips to make the strap removable they could have used small plain, lighter weight ones which would have made the bag more user-friendly and classier looking as well. Also, the handles and strap, which used to be made with soft pliable cotton, are now hard, stiff and uncomfortable (probably with polyester or nylon). I'm thinking of returning this EXPENSIVE nylon duffle, because I thought I was paying for comfort when I bought it.OTHER DESIGN FLAWS: The double handles should be 4 inches longer so you could wear it on your shoulder with the handles. Also, the adjustable strap is too long, even when you adjust it to be as short as possible (not very short). Did they make this bag for tall men? Funny, I thought these bags are marketed to women. Other than the flaws I mentioned, this is a well-made bag with quality materials and fabulous outer zipper pockets. For the money they charge though, they could have added a pocket on the inside.__________________________________UPDATE: The bulky silver clips are starting to grow on me a little, just because they add interest to an otherwise dull-looking black bag. Upon closer inspection of the bag, however, my issue with the clips is now fading. The workmanship is just awful. The fabric on all for corners of the top and bottom is seriously bunched up. And no, it's not just wrinkles that can be ironed out - it's the way the bag was sewn together. I compared it against one of my old identical bags and the difference is significant. My old bag lies flat and has no bunching at the corners. Wow, sometimes you get less than what you paid for. This company was known for quality and they have seriously slipped.

I purchased this bag to use as a carry-on for long flights and I am so glad I did. Although it's expensive for a duffle, I am a firm believer in spending a big more for bags because there's nothing worse that when your bag starts falling apart when you need it. I found this to be durable and held up well in the rain, the zippers were also sturdy and smooth - if I have a pet peeve it's crappy zippers!The inside compartment is roomy and does flex but it's not flimsy material. The side zippers are very nice and also super handy, as well as the small pouch that comes with the bag. One a recent long-haul flight I had in the main compartment my medication, 3-1-1 bag, and travel pillow. On the way back I had all of that, plus my souvenirs which included street art, a fragile Christmas ornament, small whiskey glass, and a coffee mug!!. In the small pouch I also had a change of undies, travel socks, and deodorant. In the front and back zipper compartments I had my chargers and an eye mask and earplugs and in the side zipper compartments I had a snack on each side.For looks I love the look of it, in black it has a cool tactical look to it that oddly looks sleek and sharp! As for size I think this is the perfect size because it fit everything I needed and was able to sit on top my small rolling suitcase just fine. Again, I know it's high but I am so happy I invested in it and see it hold up beautifully.

I was a little hesitant to order when I read some reviews that said now that LeSportsac is not made in the US the quality is not as good. My old medium weekender was made in the USA and is probably 20 years old and finally is looking old. I purchased this one as a replacement and am very pleased with it. I see some changes- like the detachable shoulder strap, and zippers, but overall seems like quality is good. I have not used it, so don't know how it will hold up, but I'm a fan of LeSportsac because it is so light weight and practical with all the outside zippers and is roomy enough inside for me for a weekend getaway.I am an older, petite woman, so a light bag was important to me and the medium size does not overpower me.

Le Sport Sac is an excellent product. The medium size is great for day use and an overnight stay. I have used the same one for the past 10-12 years and have finally had to replace it because 2 of the zippers have gone. The rest of the bag is in excellent shape. I have travelled extensively with it and its various pockets have been very useful for storing both valuables and items that I use regularly. It folds up quite compact for storage. The only drawback is the plastic zippers which could be a bit heavier quality but what else can one buy today that gives over 10 years of wear and tear service before it needs replacement? A great product.

What happened to quality control at LeSportsac? I've been a fan of their products for decades but my newest purchase, a medium Weekender, broke after about 14 months. The metal handle broke off and LeSportsac offers no repair service. In the past I've used the same bag for years and years without any problems.

LIKE THE COMPARTMENTS. WELL MADE. THIS IS MY SECOND ONE. I HAVE THE LARGER ONE ALSO.
