No more dropped caps and a sore thumb!
I purcased this because it was recommended by Dustin Winegar (Guns of the west) on Youtube. It is a very good quality product and works very well. To prevent caps from falling out of the tip of the capper, rest it against the loading cutout on the revolver when pressing the plunger. Dropped caps and a sore thumb from loading by hand are a thing of the past.Just like the other review, I did notice that it does not really work on the Uberti Walker. The capper only works on revolvers that have a deeper loading cutout in the recoil shield. My smaller framed Uberti 1861 navy, for example, actually has a deep enough cutout milled into the shield that allows the capper to work flawlessly.Overall a very good product and I am happy with my purchase.

Good replica, nice quality, but doesn't fit well when capping my Uberti 1847 Walker
The fit is so tight it's hard to get the cap on the nipple. Also, I lose caps when I press the button to get a cap to come up. The fit problem has more to do with the revolver I'm trying to use this with. There just isn't enough room to get the cap seated easily. So if you have a Uberti 1847 Colt Walker replica this might not be the capper for you.But it might work fine with other revolvers I don't know. A lot of the time the cap will get twisted sideways when I'm trying to get a cap on the nipple, when it does I end up losing the cap trying to position it correctly. It's also kind of a pain trying to get all the caps in the right way when loading it by hand. But I think this is a good replica of this old design. Knowing what I know now, I'd probably not have bought this style capper. But I'm keeping it, and can make it work.

Good high capacity capper
Works great for my Colt Navy and my Remington. Will not work on a '49 Colt Pocket. Love the capacity. The only downside is that care and practice must be taken to us this item properly. If held at the improper angle, the cap will fall out or get stuck sideways, requiring opening the capper. If you intend to use a capper in a serious manner (competition, hunting, defense), you should stick to a normal straight line capper.

works great
does what it says. every now and again it will get a cap stuck on its side and you'll have to open it and fix that, 10 second fix. when the alternative is capping with your fingers i wont consider that a problem by no means. its the best caper ive found so far.
