Kevyn Aucoin The Volume Mascara - Black For Women 0.18 oz Mascara

This is my mascara - full stop. I suffer with the dreaded panda eyes, so decided on a tubular mascara and have tried so many, from cheap to expensive. I've found some flake and leave you with black bits around the eye. I've found some just clag the eyelashes and I've ended up looking like a folorn spider. I've found some are so difficult to remove, I've ended up pulling my own lashes out. This mascara is the antidote to it all. I have really sparse and short lashes due to menopause/cancer and I was looking for something that enhanced my natural lashes but without clumping. This mascara will not make you look as if you have false eyelashes, it will just enhance your natural look. This isn't about big or volume, this is about coating every lash for something more subtle. I must also mention how easy and downright satisfying it is to remove: yes, you can take it off with wipes but you don't really need any cleanser at all. It's so satisfying to just sort of twist/pick it off and with no damage to your lashes. So there must be down side, right? Well yes, sort of. It doesn't seem to last as well as some, so by noon, your lashes aren't quite as defined as they were but frankly, another swipe of the wand and you're good to go again. That's it - there's no other faults I can find. So if you're looking for a more natural look, with minimal hassle this is definitely worth a try.

I get panda eyes with normal mascaras, so I now only use tube mascaras. Of those I have tried L'Oréal beauty tubes and Boots Stay perfect, which are both good, but I find this is worth the double price tag of the others due to less clumping of lashes, more definition and the fact it doesn't irritate my eyes at all (which the other two do after about 6 hours..even though I don't have particularly sensitive eyes). I also think the tiny brush is great for getting every lash. My tip if you want more volumised lashes is to apply your fave normal mascara first, leave to dry and then use this as a top coat. Works a treat.It does dry out fairly quickly, but I just wipe the brush of any clogs of mascara and continue to use it. You can make one last 6 months or more if you are careful, but trust me, if you're tired of panda eyes, it's more than worth it.

I’ve bought this mascara on Amazon before and it was amazing, lasted for three months and was everything it’s been advertised as - goes on beautifully and stays all day. This new tube is dried up and clumpy and I can’t get it on at all. Maybe buy direct from Kevyn Aucoin?

Disappointing! Lovely brush but the mascara is full of little bits which dry and flake off - quite scary how many bits there are. If you have contact lenses - don't buy. Also the screw (brush into the case) does not always work so you have to fiddle in and out to make sure that it connects properly - this might not help the dried bits flaking onto face/into eyes.

Ok…the title is a little extreme, but this stuff is great. It’s a tubing mascara so it’s easy to remove with just warm water. But ONLY when you want it to. Until then it really stays put, doesn’t flake or run or cause panda eyes. This is probably true of other tubing mascaras, but the difference with this one is the excellent tiny thin brush. It really picks up every lash with a couple of coats - even my almost non existent bottom lashes. It’s a quality feeling item too with its sleek metal tube. Not the cheapest, but as I won’t be wasting money trying other mascaras now, well worth it.

This isn't a bad mascara - it doesn't clump and the brush is great - but I don't think it's as good as the hype and taking it off with water isn't as easy as it's cracked up to be! If it wasn't for the fact that it doesn't smudge I wouldn't be giving it four stars. Shan't buy it again but will stick with the whole "tube" mascara thing and go for the cheaper L'Oreal version.

Great mascara, adds fibres and lengthens lashes, no clumping and never smudges or runs. I use it every day and it gives a natural looking longer lash and works well after using a lash curler.

Wasn't bad, but gives more of a natural look rather than dramatic lashes. Dried up after a couple of uses. On the plus side no irritation and easy to remove.
