Useful thing to have in the house when in a rush and not time to prepare anything, I normally use this for our home made Chilli when I haven't had time to prep my own rice (good rice is a process), but this is nice and fast to cook on hectic days. Given it's not home made it does taste really nice, better than most packet rice, so very happy with it.

This 6-pack of Uncle Ben’s Mexican Style Rice is a pantry staple for me. The flavour is great — mildly spicy with a nice blend of tomato, peppers, and herbs. It’s not overpowering, so it works well with a variety of meals, especially fajitas, burritos, or even just on the side of some grilled chicken or veggies. Super convenient too — just 2 minutes in the microwave and it’s ready to go. Perfect for quick lunches or lazy dinners when I don’t feel like cooking from scratch. The rice is fluffy and never comes out mushy, which I’ve had issues with in other brands. Great value in the 6-pack, and the long shelf life means I can always keep a few in the cupboard for busy days.

The new ingredients list is similar, the major difference being that the sweetcorn content is now reduced to 4.0% - and it's these new ingredients you get when you order from here. A healthy, plant-based product. Convenient, quick and cheaper than the same product sold in Sainsbury's.

My favourite of the range. Really tasty and a little bit sticky - you do have to break it up, which I like personally. I enjoy a wetter texture so you won’t be as keen if you like your rice light and fluffy.

Good price. Short dates compared with supermarkets. 12 months on shop bought. 6 months on these. OK for day to day, not so good for your apocalypse store.
