It's everything you expect. The cable is long, there are 7 ports, and it's budget friendly.
The cable is long, there are 7 ports, and it's budget friendly. The ports themselves are very tight and are not in any way loose. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

Failed straight from the package!
This item was defective out of the package but I didn't know it for a week or so. Every time I inserted a jump drive i used the number 1 port and it worked. As i used it more i discovered that none of the other ports, 2 through 7 would never register a usb drive. very in expensive but not worth the price paid!!!

Ridiculously bright, unnecessary LED
This thing is a USB hub, but for some reason it has a massive blue LED on it that does not ever turn off. It's absurdly bright—I slapped three layers of duct tape over the light and I can *still see it* shining through. Not only that, the light glowing out of one of the ports and out of the power plug. So I had to cover up one of the ports with duct tape, too!Yes, it can apparently be used as a powered hub, which is neat. The adapter, however, isn't included, nor is there any indication whatsoever which kind is needed. Realistically, unless you somehow knew by osmosis, it's effectively going to be an unpowered hub forever, and the plug is just yet another place for the *preposterously over-bright LED* (the one that shouldn't be there in the first place) to glow out of.Good things: 7 ports of USB 3.0. That's a lot of ports compared to the average hub. It's got a fairly long-ish tail hanging off the end of the thing, making it fairly easy to place on your desk or wherever.Neutral things: It's not the higher-speed versions of USB 3, but for most purposes—especially those you're going to use 7 unpowered ports for—it's plenty fast enough. The tail cable is vinyl rather than braided, which is a lost opportunity to have made the product nicer.Bad things: The low-density plastic feels really cheap and lightweight, lending a flimsy feel to the whole product.Terrible things: THAT BLUE LED! I can't explain how absurdly bright this thing is without resorting to sounding like I'm ranting about something that should be inconsequential. But, no, it's really *that* insane. It's like getting hit in the face with a laser. And worse than that, the plastic lens in the front doesn't even diffuse the LED properly to make it glow evenly across the whole diffuser lens. It's just a plastic blob with one SUPER BRIGHT BLOB in the middle. There's no reason a USB hub needs a light on it at all in the first place. You'll know it's working when you plug something in, and if nothing's plugged in, you don't care what the light is telling you. Even if you aren't bothered by the idea of a blue light on your USB hub, this one is a badly designed and executed blue light that doesn't even look nice. The upshot: If you don't ever plan to use it where you can see it, or where you're going to be annoyed by an entire wall of the room turning blue, you're getting 7(ish) ports of USB 3.0 in one place. It feels cheap and has some design flaws, and is disappointing, but it might be acceptable for some folks.

A quick way to speed everything up
I have an older Lenovo Thinkpad with 1 3.0 USB and 3 2.0 USB ports. I run an external hard drive with a huge auto diagnostic software program outta the 3.0. But then I notice downloading picture should be fasters and that I stored other info or the external hard drive always fast. So I thought, looked it up and then found that 3.0 rates faster downloads, and it even charges my phone fasterand now I have 7 places to better connect for around $10. Who could ask for more? Now it takes a webcam and a mike for a podcast. It make my life easier

Has completely stopped working
I purchased this so I had USB ports that were easily accessible since my computer sits on the floor. It reads flash drives as soon as they're plugged in but immediately disconnects from the computer, then reconnects and disconnects. In a nutshell, this hub doesn't generate enough power to read any flash drive or phone drive. There is a port to plug the hub into power in hopes of being able to read devices and stay connected. However, one is not included with the item which renders this hub useless without a power adapter. I'm completely disappointed with how this hub has functioned and only seems to work with a wireless charger and nothing more.UPDATE - The hub has completely stopped working. Save your money with this one.
