Yes, it's just a piece of foam, but it's the perfect density to block out light around A/C as intended for those of us who want our sleeping caves to stay dark and cool. The adhesive was a little tough to remove, but I blasted it w a hairdryer for a few seconds and it lifted just fine.

I was apprehensive because of the low reviews but I’m glad I took a chance. We don’t plan on removing the window unit for the winter, so I’m insulating as best I can. We stuck some leftover foam insulation under it and went to town measuring.A couple of positives:The foam was easy to straighten after rolling it the opposite way twiceIt was easy to cut with a box cutterThe double stick tape was fine. Mid range, not the best or the worst.There was plenty of double stick tapeIt looks great.Some negatives:Very easy to get dirtyThere wasn’t enough white tapeThe white tape was hard to cut. It kind of stretched like electrical tape so you’ll need scissors.The foam was thinner than I thought from the pictures, but still adequateOverall, I’m glad I got it. There’s no air coming in and the window looks much nicer now. I think it is overpriced. It’s more of a $12-$20 item. Still worth it! If you’re on the fence, take a chance.

Good foam board that does help. The double stick tape that comes with to secure the foam board to is cheap and sucks. Get yourself some 3m double sided tape. The insulation tape that comes with it, is plenty and you’ll have some extra to spare to possible resecure areas over time.

Not worth the money. They really should give me my money back. But can’t return once it is cut. Did not realize I did t have the double sided tape till after I cut the foam. PVC tape that is provided is not nearly enough to seal around the AC. Would give a zero, but have to do one star to post review.

Tape that comes with it is crap,melts off in the heat.

Trash item. Looks so perfect on a picture, but comes in a roll that has to be spread open and wont stay in place.

I used part inside and part outside and it works really good and it looks good. It's very good for keeping heat and bugs out of the window.
