works flawless with the right PD adapter
works with Surface Book (1st gen), Surface Pro 6, when paired with the right PD charger. Strongly suggesting to use this instead of a replacement brick charger.One thing to consider is that when the usb-c cable is connected to this adapter, there is power draw (?!) even when not connected to the device. The side light will be on, no matter if actually connected to the device, so unplug PD charger or cable when not in use.

Not for modern Surface 9 or laptop studio
This unit is compatible with old Surface devices because in my case (Surface Laptop Studio), it didn't support normal or fast charge, only slow.I connected with a charger that produces about 140W but only less than 10W was accepted.I am not sure if this product supports 120W or it is just my laptop issue.On Surface Pro 3, it takes 35W.Those measurments depending on Anker Prime power bank.

Working with Surface Pro 9 but no Fast Charging
Bought this as I wasn't able to get my wife's Surface Pro 9 charging over a USB C charger (Ugreen 100W GaN and the Anker 140W 24k power bank) even with a USB-C cable that supports full 240W.Simple connection to the USB C connector, and the Surface Pro 9 charges at regular speed. The Anker charger shows a power draw of just under 40W, and not the full 65W and that means that the laptop is not being charged at full speed. I also tested the adapter with the Ugreen 100W GaN charger and it charges the Surface Pro 9This is an excellent alternative if you already have USB C chargers (65W or more) and don't need fast charging - great for having one at home and one in the office.

I just bought it before my business trip and it didn't work 😔 I will have to return it when I am back home.

Makes it easier for me to charge my pro 7 +
Im throwing the oem charger in the attic.. no need for microsoft's proprietary charger with this adapter.. makes charging so much easier and sustainable to the planet..

Doesn’t work
The device’s description was mentioned that it’s suitable for Surface pro 8, but in fact it doesn’t.I can’t charge my surface pro 8 with it.
