Simple solution that actually works!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Simple solution that actually works I bought the Door Buddy Door Prop for Cats to keep certain rooms accessible for my cat while still blocking off areas from dogs—and it does exactly what it promises. Installation was quick and easy, no tools required. The strap is adjustable and sturdy, and once set, it stays in place. My cat can slip through the gap with no problem, but the door doesn’t open wide enough for anything larger. It’s a much cleaner solution than baby gates or wedging doors open with random objects. I also appreciate that it doesn’t damage the door or frame and can be removed easily if needed. The material feels durable, and after daily use it’s still holding up well. If you have pets and need controlled access between rooms, this is a smart, affordable solution that actually works. ✔ Easy to install ✔ Adjustable and secure ✔ Cat-friendly, dog-proof ✔ No damage to doors Highly recommend for multi-pet households.

Simple, easy, and effective
Such a simple, easy, clever design. We have had cats for decades and typically, we cut a cat hole/door in whatever interiors house door leads to their litter boxes. We moved recently and the door leading to the basement is in a highly visible location. Plus, the doors are different than what we had in the past and we couldn't justify cutting them. We bought 2 of these- one for the basement door and one for a closet where the litter boxes are. They are super easy to install, adjust, and use without having to cut a door. They stay in place and are sturdy and secure, yet flexible. Definitely works for our situation. That being said, leaving the door ajar (versus a hole at the bottom) does let out more litter box smell, so this might not be the best option in every scenario- but it works for us and we are pleased with them. The only issue is that others that come to the house (and don't have pets), can't figure out what they are and how to use them- we have had contractors try to slam the doors shut- I could see these getting broken in those type of weird situations- no biggie. We bought an extra just in case.

Amazing product and customer service
I bought the product back in August and in December had the plastic crack about halfway down the hinge part. I reached out directly to the company and they are sending a replacement free of charge. Very great customer service who back their product. It works amazingly for households with pets and children. We use it so our cat can reach her litterbox and our son cannot. Installation is a breeze and even when the plastic cracked it’s still holding strong! For $20 you can’t go wrong.

Great for keeping dogs out of the litter box
This worked great for keeping my dogs out of the cats litter box without having to install an expensive and time consuming cat door. Easy to install and is adjustable. But only gets a 4 star for being a little fragile, it was my fault it broke but still could have been a stronger plastic.

Keeps the baby out, lets the cat in
Works great! We needed to have an easy way for the cat to get into his space but not the very curious baby. We also wanted the option to completely close off the space. This met the requirements. It was fairly easy to install- our door was a bit odd so it did take some fiddling around to get it so the door locked when completely shut but we did get it fixed. We like that if down the road we change the system up there is no permanent damage to door (such as if we had opted for a cat door in the door itself). Our door opens and shuts easily- and has withstood the door shutting of our three year old too. Looks wise it is a bit ugly. I wish I came in more clean look of something closer to a metal look.

Great price, work very well!
Love these things!! They are awesome and work fantastically to segment areas for cats and dogs, in my case I can even adjust it all the way down to allow small cats through while prohibiting the larger cats. I’ve bought one for nearly every interior door at this point. Highly recommend!

Works well, until it breaks
I know it’s our fault it got bent back, but pretty sad it broke that easily. If you have a tight area, the latch itself is in the walkway, increasing instance of accidentally walking into it, thus bending it back. I think the plate itself needs to be made of a different material, because the plastic cracked and broke right there. Super bummed because it had been an amazing solution.

I can’t believe there are actually reviews on here that are less than 5 stars! It’s design of perfect in every day. It is the simplest install and most effective way to limit access to areas for pets, etc. without closing off the area. When my pup was small, I made the opening small so only the cats could fit, and as my pup got bigger, I opened the hatch bigger to give the cats more space to get through. It’s a high quality item and keeps my very strong, 70 lb American Bully out of the cats designated space. And I’m very picky when it comes to how well household items function - and I genuinely can’t find one possible improvement for this item. When I ordered it, I thought “it’s pretty expensive for what you get”, but I was very wrong. Great bang for your buck with this item! Highly recommend!

Easy to install but dog learned how to push through and open the door in less than a day

Much to the dismay of our cats, we got a dog. This means, I need the cats to be able to go where our dog can't and since both lack the opposable thumbs to operate doorknobs, this thing is perfect. Leaves enough room for our cats to fit through (even the chunky one) but the dog can't fit. Its also very simple for you to open the door. It was exactly what we needed.

Works so well! Wish I bought it years ago. Super easy to set a Up and can still get in and out of door easily except dog cannot.

I bought this because my cat has a habit of closing doors behind himself and getting stuck in rooms while I’m away. I didn’t want to keep the doors completely shut (the rooms get too hot), so this seemed like a good solution. It does exactly what it promises—keeps a door propped open enough for cats to pass through while keeping kids, dogs, or other “bigger creatures” out. My 20lb Maine Coon fits through just fine, and it even works on doors that swing close to an adjacent wall. Pros: • Adjustable opening size for cats of all sizes • Works as described to keep doors propped open • Useful for basement doors or rooms you don’t need fully shut • Everything you need to install is included (except a screw driver) Cons: • You cannot fully close the door once it’s installed • White hardware is noticeable, especially if your décor is darker • Requires removing your existing door hardware and isn’t easy to uninstall • A bit pricy for what it is Overall, this product works well if you want a semi-permanent solution for keeping certain doors cracked open for pets. If you just need something temporary, I’d recommend sticking with a simple doorstop instead. I don’t have a picture since I did end up returning the product as it just was not what I needed.
