Magnets are super strong. I bought them to put on oil filters to catch and potential metal inside the oil to monitor engine wear.

Used just the magnets to hold flags against my garage door. Worked perfectly even on windy days they stayed on. Good product

Totally happy with these magnets. I turn plastic I laminate and wood to make shop and fridge magnets. These have enough pull to make them worth while. I do have a question though: What's with the countersunk washers? If you put them on the magnets, they become all but worthless, and the magnets are already countersunk for screws so don't need after thought versions of countersinks to flush mount screws?

Not near 40lbs of pull, more around 20-28 pull.

These things are very useful for a myriad of projects. I have used them for tool boards, securely holding hand tools, and keeping them out of the way. I also attached 4 to 1 foot long aluminum bars to make temporary lashing points on the steel bed of my truck - they are unbelievably strong, and don't slide an unacceptable amount. I keep getting more because I keep finding uses for them. The only caution is be careful when torquing the screws down on the magnets - over-torquing will lead to the magnet breaking. They're a bit fragile in that respect.

Had some other magnets 🧲 in my motorcycle cell case but they shatter after a while. These great very solid and I purchased the 70lb I needed some very strong 💪 and these are them top quality. However for what I need them for the screws won't work so I opted to use bolts washers & nuts to make sure they don't ripp off when I take my motorcycle case off the my bike. But there a definitely great purchase👍

Perfect and very strong

These magnets are incredible!! Needed a solution to fastening the bottoms of my acoustic panels on the angled wall in my top floor studio. These are perfect - incredible hold and easy to work with, once I got used to the strength of the magnets. Do not overtighten, as they can crack, but only had that happen once in 14 applications. Highly recommended!!

I used two of these washers to hold a thermostat base plate onto a lath and plaster wall: washers were fastened to the base plate, magnets were recessed in the plaster (a very convenient solution) with a screw into the lath. I did not dare to use four magnets -- one at each corner of the base plate of the thermostat -- because I would need a small pry bar to lift the base plate, so strong is the magnetic pull. My best 'magnets buy' in a very long time.

Wow, these magnets are no joke! They are incredibly powerful for their size and have been super handy for all sorts of things around the house and in my workshop. I picked up this 12-pack of MIKEDE rare earth magnets with holes to help organize my workshop and garage. I have a lot of metal tools and various items that could benefit from being securely mounted or held in place, and the idea of a powerful, pre-drilled magnet seemed like an ideal solution for a variety of projects. These magnets are impressively strong for their size. The stated 30lbs of force feels accurate; they can easily hold up heavier tools and keep things firmly in place on a steel surface. The countersunk hole is a huge plus, allowing for flush mounting with the included screws. The steel capsule around the neodymium magnet not only protects the brittle magnet but also directs the magnetic field, increasing its effective pull. I've used them to hold wrench sets under shelves, secure tarps, and even create temporary tool holders on the side of my metal workbench. The quality of the magnets and the screws provided is good, and they feel very durable. While the magnets are powerful, the 30lb force is under ideal conditions (direct contact with a perfectly flat, thick ferrous surface). In real-world applications, especially with painted surfaces or uneven contact, the force is slightly reduced, which is expected but worth noting. Also, while the screws are included, they are basic Phillips head screws; having a Robertson head option might be beneficial for better torque and to prevent stripping, especially when mounting into harder materials. Lastly, a small instruction sheet or diagram detailing optimal mounting techniques or surfaces for maximum holding power would be a nice addition for those less familiar with magnet properties. Overall, the MIKEDE rare earth magnets are an excellent product for anyone needing strong, mountable magnets. They are versatile, well-made, and live up to their claims of powerful holding force. Despite minor considerations regarding optimal force and screw type, their utility in organizing and securing various items makes them a very worthwhile purchase.
