Excellent author who has many years of experience metal detecting. I love Clive's books!

Never leave home on a detecting trip without bringing along this book. Must have if you own a Manticore.

Not well written. Very hard to follow, would be helpful if there were Pictures or diagrams of what he's talking about. He also says several times "more on this later" but no reference to where, it would be helpful to go there and follow that thought and understand what's being talked about before moving on.

Great Book for those who want to learn more information about metal detecting with The Minelab Manticore then just simple instruction Book. Might not be for everyone. The Manticore Instruction Manual is much better for general information.

Goes deep on tiny targets make your old sites produce again. Manticore is awesome ❤️

Easy to understand but a lot of information.

Not the first book of his I’ve gotten I got the equinox version as well. Good information now for the equinox.

If your just starting out or not a full time detector you will be lost in a hurry. While it does have some useful info to be learned by newbies, most is written in a format for the more advanced users. The most irritating thing about it is the number of times the writer states, that what he is explaining now will be explained later, but not where it will be. By the time you may get to that point, you have totally forgot all the explanations you are supposed to be looking for.
