(pictured: kitchen table, yellow cedar and black epoxy. finish: natura onecoat clear. coated once, left to cure, scuffed with a maroon pad, then coated again) I originally bought this product because I wanted a cheaper alternative to Rubio Monocoat. That is not what this finish is. This finish is its own thing, has its own sheen, its own look, and its own tint. I find that this oil is slightly darker and more amber than rubio. It's also less toxic than Rubio and more forgiving. The application process is simple, and can be boosted by using a buffer if you have one, but it's not required. The kitchen table in the pictures has stood up to months of abuse by my family (including 2 toddlers and a wife with ADHD) and still looks as good as it does the day I finished it. The sheen is more of a satin than semi-gloss, and it feels nice to the touch. It feels like a piece of wood still, and not like a piece of plastic or some composite. Some finishes make wood feel too much like melamine or harden the outer layer of wood fiber in a way that feels unnatural. I have also experimented with their stain + oil finishes and was pleased with how those look, as well. However, the clear version is my favorite because I want to bring out the natural figuring, burl, and depth of the wood grain without introducing stain.

Easy to apply, though i didn't really follow directions..With 320 sf, I mixed 107sf per 360ml. I put a bag in my roller bucket and rolled the material (wish I had an 1/8" nap, a little goes a long way) I used a green pad on the floor polish machine and worked the entire surface for about 20/30 minutes...wiped excess and ran the white pad for about 20 minutes... After working with Osmo Polyx for years on furniture and table tops, it was a great relief to not have to fight through globs of sticky oil on the final buff....(esp 320sf) And the odor is way less noticeable compared to Osmo... I had mixed material leftover and sealed the product overnight... I always applied a 2nd coat with Osmo with great results, so I applied a 2nd coat of Natura the next day... It doesn't seem like it really did anything noticeable and therefore, must be the reason it is not mentioned in the literature...."Onecoat" is the truth... Great product! The feel, finish and ease of application is superior to polyurethane imo....And the ability to spot repair and easily apply periodic recoats makes this a WINNER for our wood floors... THANKS NATURA ONECOAT!!!

Background: I've been woodworking for over 50 years and have used almost every conceivable product but never a hard wax oil. I chose this brand based on price comparison to it's main competitor and the recommendation of the Wood Whisperer on YouTube. I bought the 1 liter container from Amazon. I started to write out a description of how ridiculous the packaging is but found it too involved for all the complaints I have. Not only did the can(s) arrive dented and leaking, they are designed to be difficult to open and impossible to pour for measuring/mixing. Unless you want to make a big mess and waste the product, you'll need 2 sizes/diameters of syringes, the larger one being at least 6 1/2" long. A much better alternative would be a regular paint can with pry-off lid, a jar (like Odie's Oil), a can suitable for pouring (like Fiddes) or even a plastic container like a car oil can. I realize this all sound a bit petty, but the whole experience of opening the cans and dispensing the product was so irritating that I'd be willing to pay much more to avoid it. On the positive side, I have no issues with the product, but don't have a way to compare it to other hard wax oils either. It goes on easy enough and looks good. I happen to like the ambering effect of the oil on cherry. time will tell of it hold up well enough to use it again.

This is amazingly easy to apply and I like the non glossy finish. Much cheaper and same quality as other monocoat brands.
