Alvin's Cables E6 Dummy Battery to D-Tap Coiled for Canon-R5C

Everyone knows the R5C is a battery hog. Alvin's cables really knocked it out of the park on this, the build quality is good, the dummy battery works perfectly except the buttery time remaking is grossly underestimated, Canon engineers must have really not expected people to do this because even with a fully charged 98wh v-mount, the camera displays a maximum of "46mins" of battery time, but then proceeds to go for hours and HOURS on one battery! I can get all modes to work except for the 8k60p but, I have another camera for that 😏. Good job, Alvin's!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I’m not one to write reviews, although I read them before deciding whether to purchase something or not. With that said, I am not a fan of this dummy battery. I shoot a lot of long form videos (documentaries, interviews, etc) and this dummy battery generates A TON of heat from the battery port where it is uncomfortable to hold my camera. I ended up going back to using a EOM battery and connecting it to a usb-c to v-mount battery.

I purchased to use with the canon r5c. It’s great and I love the fact that it has the coiled cable, it makes it easier to wrap and isn’t hanging all over.

Very Happy Alvin makes this battery adapter. Got it quickly and it works great!
