I looked and researched air purifiers for a couple weeks after our old one quit performing. I kept coming back to this Shark and bit the bullet and paid the $300 for it. After the first day of running it, I had zero regrets! It works perfectly! We have it in our living room which is off of our kitchen and we keep it on AUTO. When we’re cooking, the Shark will drop from 100 where our air was clean, the fan will kick up a notch or two, depending on how low the numbers went, and it really will clean the cooking orders out! We have allergies and this has helped a lot! We own a home that is over 100yrs old and I used to go around the house dusting all the time and I notice there’s barely any dust on my furniture. I also notice if I spray Febreze air freshener or fabric refresher that the Shark senses it and will kick on and suck my air freshener out. lol I love Scentsy and their wax melts so when I use the one that is closest to the Shark I will just turn the air purifier off for a while because it will sense it and drop to yellow or even red and kick the fans on and clean the nice smell right out of the living room where I have that one sitting. Not complaining, but sometimes I like to smell my Scentsy! Also, there’s different speeds that the fan will run on and even on the highest speed it’s not loud at all. My house has never smelled so clean. We have two 70lb boxers and it has helped tremendously with having pets. When I’m gone for hours and come home, I notice that I don’t smell any signs of owning a dog when I walk into the house and my husband said the same thing when he came home from work the first night we owned it. There’s a light up ring around the numbers on the front that will be green when it’s clean, turn yellow when it’s getting bad and turn red when it’s really bad. We leave ours on AUTO so we don’t have to do anything, the Shark does the air cleaning for us. The never change filter is huge plus! Those filters can be so expensive so it’s nice that we don’t have that expense a couple times a year! The only thing that I’d say would be a “con”, if you want to call it that, and we honestly don’t even care about it, is that air freshener thing on top of the machine. We have never smelled anything come from that and I doubt we will buy new replacement neutralizer cartridges for it. I don’t see the point of it. I don’t see, or smell rather, where it does anything. I hope I covered everything and my review helped you make a decision on your purchase. I’m just an ordinary person with pets and an older home that PAID $300 for this machine and did not receive it for free to write a review like others do with stuff. My review is just our honest opinion that I wanted to share because we like it so much. It works GREAT! Better than any air purifier that we have owned in 30yrs. If you’re looking to buy a new air purifier for your home, I highly recommend this Shark! We sat the empty box in the office and thought we would hold on to it for the 30 days that we have to return something to Amazon just in case we didn’t like it but we threw it away the first week we used it.

My daughter has 2 cats with very concentrated urine. We have tried everything to include special litter, flowing water, auto litter box. Even though these all helped, it wasn't until I finally purchased this item for my large living area where the box was at that I know longer smelt anything. I might get and occasional whiff of something but it quickly vanishes. Also, fish smell - GONE. It does have a nice HEPPA filter so helps with allergies. I like it can sense the air quality and adjust the fan to increase the intake until it is clear. Great job overall. Not sure about the longevity of the item, from what I reviewed, there are mixed sentiments. Love this device already. Highly recommend it.

Love this Shark Air Purifier. My furbabies have a room where they sleep in and I placed the Shark in their room to help with any strong dog smell. It works great it purifies the room for them and no dog smell especially when they come in from outside. It’s easy to clean and the filter can be changed every 5 years. Got it at a great price on Amazon.

It works and does what it's supposed to, I can definitely tell a difference in the air quality. It worked great for the first month or so but then started to get a red ring and stop working which means I have to clean the sensor and it'll start working again. This normally wouldn't be much of an issue but it happens at least every day to every other day which can be annoying; sometimes I have to do it more than once in a day.

I had to change all the pipes in n my condo and the workers who closed the walls didn’t do a good job in covering the area and caused a lot of dust in my house. I live on the third floor and it was hard to get the dust out. I’m allergic to dust so I started having a hard time breathing, developed runny nose and would constantly sneeze. I already have a few air purifiers but they needed some help as the dust was too much for them to get rid of on their own. I bought this and the smaller one and it took the dust out my house within 2 days. The auto feature works amazing as a t automatically went to high and was like that for 1.5 days then the noise went down and finally once the air was clean and at 100% it was quiet. The size is nice big which I think really help with getting the dust out the air in my condo so I could breathe again. It’s super easy to use and if it does last for the 5 years it claims, it’ll be well worth it as my biggest air purifier cost me $70 a year for the filters and this is simply removing the filter and washing it, drying it and reinsert it. So far, I’m very happy with it. I’ll be buying another smaller one for my son’s room as the other small unit went to my daughter’s room once I got the dust out the air in the living room, master bedroom and master bathroom. I can truly say I experienced why it’s important to have a ln air purifier as they actually work. You never really know if they’re working until you have construction done on your home within lots of debris and dust in the air and then it shows you how well it’s working. If you have dust allergies like myself, you definitely need an air purifier as it keeps the dust from building up as it removes it from the air making your house not as dusty. Before I only needed to dust every month, I’ll assume with the new addition, it’ll require me to dust every 1.5 months.
