Muk Savage Muk Styling Mud 50g

MUK hair styling mud is a really good product. It is has a strong, long lasting hold with a matt finish. I've used this as my go to product for about 10 years now. I find other products too greasy or they don't hold as strongly. It isn't hair spray level but a small amount will give a robust hold and look great. If you use it on wet hair you will get a wet look. It washes out easily and has a great smell. The price is reasonable and comes in a small aluminum tin with a foil wrap. If you expose the tin to the air you will find the mud will discolour from beige to yellow and will become drier but still usable. I find one tin will last around 1 - 2 months with daily use.

This does exactly what it says it can do 💪 A little warmed up between your palms or with hair dryer is the best approach, for me anyway. Only good for shorter styles 👍

I see reviews noting it’s a great product for thick hair - but just to add it’s also great for finer hair. I have naturally fine straight hair and this is the only product which lets me style it and has it stay in place all day. Used it for years. Top notch.

I have used dozens of hair wax and other strong hold hair products for my medium/short hair. Most recently been using Got2be Glued (yellow tub) spiking gel and also the wax. I was recommended this Hard Muk by my hairdresser. I’d say this is much better than anything else I ever tried because it doesn’t make your hair feel greasy or waxy… yet the hold is very strong even when my hair is short (not quite as strong as Got2be, but almost) and most importantly during the day you can reqork this very well. Just leaves your hair feel and look like it has no product in it at all which is perfect. Washes out with water, so maybe not great for swimming etc. Would recommend trying it, I will be using this only from now on. Would be great if it was made cheaper though.

This a great product that gives good hold and texture. Simply scoop out a small bit, emulsify between your hands and work into dry hair. If you didn't quite get enough repeat the process to work a little bit more in. If you find it is too difficult to work the product through your hair, just add a drop or two of water when emulsifying it and you will be able to work it into your hair more easily. When you have finished styling your hair, the product washes off your hands easily. You can keep restyling your hair throughout the day if you like but you probably won't need to as the hold is pretty strong. I have tried it on both short and slightly longer hair and found my style remained in place the whole day with no need for any restyling. The really good thing is that it doesn't leave any flakes or white bits in your hair like some other products do. When you get to the end of the day, you'll be able to wash it out pretty easily to with no need for repeated shampooing to get the product out of your hair. The only reason I have given it 4 stars is that I find the artificial orange scent a bit too much. If it was toned down a bit I would most definitely give it 5 out of 5. Having said that, I would probably order it again because it works well.

I've been buying this product for at least 2 years now after first being introduced to it at a barbers. It was much cheaper online (half the price) and the product it quite frankly excellent. I think I've got through about 5 tubs now and they last around 4 months for me. My hair is short, probs 1.5-2inches on top. I find the best way to apply it so it holds and hair can be reshaped throughout the day is when hair is fully dry, rubbing a little into 1 palm then both hands together and applying quickly. Dry hair beforehand if just washed hair with hair dryer. I've tried some other products since (when forgot this on hols) and it was nothing like it and made me realise how good it was and how hard it is to find a good hair product I like. 1 downside is the tin can get damaged if in a sports bag and become hard to open. But this doesn't reduce it by any stars as its such a minor problem. I've never written a review before so this shows how passionate i am about this product!!!

Been using this product since 2014 and don’t use anything else now. I really hope it’s never discontinued. It has a strong hold without look greasy and washes out nicely. I have thick hair and this is the only product that lets me style my hair. 10 out of 10 product!!! Worth the price. LOVE HARD MUK!!! You will not be disappointed trying any muk product.

Für mich und meine Haare, einfach das beste Produkt. Vorteil: super ergiebig, angenehmer und dezenter Geruch, tolles und mattes finish und ein starker und flexibler Halt. Ich habe eher feines, blondes Haar und bekomme mit muk eine strukturierte und leicht formbare Oberfläche hin, die ich immer zusätzlich mit Haarspray fixiere. Alles ohne dass es wie gel aussieht oder fettig sondern eher matt und beach mäßig.
