tried over a dozen times to get these to connect to Alexa and no matter what path I took that they recommended they never connected. WIFI bulbs are great in theory but horrible in follow through. They just are not their yet and the cost is so high. I had invested well over $1,500.00 in blubs to try to make it work but they just do not work. Sent them all back except for the Sylvania BR30 white only bulbs. Those hooked up right away. But over time if you are not voice commanding every time and hit the switches you have to keep reprogramming and guess what??? That is such a PITA you should really rethink WIFI. Seems great but if by the time you ask Alexa to "turn on all hall lights, you are already across the hall and into the kitchen, just what exactly is the point??? And to top it all of and this is kind of scary. My neighbor told me his wife said that Alexa announced on their device that Rhonda (my wife) just bought her 3rd Fire stick. That is grossly negligent and raises huge concerns to me for privacy.

Screwed the bulbs in, scanned the QR code on instruction sheet to download the BrighFun app. Flipped the power switch a few times to get them in paring mode and added the device. Three bulbs installed in 10 minutes. Then added the Smart Life skill, discovered devices, found all 3 bulbs no problem. Created some groups and was all set. The Smart Life skill can turn on bulbs or groups, can set color and temperature. The BrightFun app can do the same within the app and can also fun some scenes. These were just installed so I can’t speak to longevity but has all the functionality at a fraction of the cost. I’d buy more right now if they were in stock.

I order this for my husband as our first foray into smart lights. It came the day after we ordered it and that was great! The product was easy to install, but we struggled with connecting it to our wifi because we have google wifi and it does not let you pick between which band you need. But after a while we able to get it to work and the fun of the light show began. I took off a star because it would have been nice for it to just see the wifi and pick up on it and not have to force it down to the 2.4GHZ.

Works just as advertised. More than I can say about other Alexa powered devices. Also works with Google home.

Instructions don't really help. Set up is difficult. The app finally recognized the lights, then stated I didn't have the correct wifi settings. Contacted the seller to return. Basically NO was the response. Don't buy.

exactly what I expected and >$15 less than comparable bulbs! 4 stars bacause one of the three bulbs ordered flickers a bit, but I'll be replacing it and the other two are perfect.

I love the different colors you can have. The best is that I can control it with Alexa.
