Well made, but takes some getting used to
When you receive the Rii vertical mouse, the first impressions are what a strange looking item it is ! Along with the mouse you will receive an instruction leaflet and USB type C charging cable. The mouse features 6 adjustable DPI levels, and has a dial for altering the volume, forward and back buttons as well as the usual right and left click buttons and scroll wheel. The mouse also has 11 kinds of RGB light effects, which can be switched off using the button underneath.OPINIONThe USB nano receiver is located under the mouse. I plugged this into my laptop and it connected to the mouse straight away. I did find the lights a bit of a novelty at first, but before long they did begin to irritate me, but it was easy to switch them off.I mainly chose this style of mouse to try because I use a mouse every day. I have been a typist all my life, and now unfortunately suffer from RSI. I have also recently developed a trigger finger which has been particularly painful.Using this mouse certainly does take some getting used to, mainly because you are changing the habits of a lifetime. I have to be honest in that I have been trying it on and off for about a week, but I do keep switching back to my usual mouse, because I can work so much faster with the one I am more familiar with.In conclusion, the jury is still out on this product. It feels very awkward and cumbersome to use, but I do think the pain from my wrist and trigger finger has eased since using it. If I thought my symptoms would resolve completely by using this mouse, then I would certainly persevere, as it is a well thought out product.I consider it a bit like learning a drive a new car when you've been used to your old one for many years ! How many of us would go back to our old car ? Could the same may be said for this mouse ? You won’t know until you try it !

maybe more for a gamer
The shape and feel is more comfortable than standard Mouse, I feel less stress and strain on my hand and wrist. However think its a case of it just being too clever for my requirements, to many buttons and controls with so many options. I struggle to do my day to day work and keep finding myself in scroll mode, I get frustrated and it takes me longer to do a simple job on the laptop. The fact it lights up tells me this is more for the gamer and I'm sure all the extra functions are helpful when playing a game, but I just need left and right click and scroll, simple controls.

Rechargeable wireless vertical mouse
I want to be fair on this vertical mouse, it is ergonomically designed so if you use the conventional type of mouse, this mouse will come as a bit of a shock, certainly for me, it was a complete shock, as trying to use it is a big challenge. Before I give my view on how I got on using it I do want to say that this mouse is very sophisticated, you have a knob for multimedia use, you can go forward and backwards, there is also a volume up and down key and if you like you can have lights RGB, which has 11 modes, recharge is via a C charger, supplied and the connection is via a mini USB, you just plug into your computer and it is ready to go.In terms of actual usage, unfortunately, I struggled with it, the keys just don't seem to correspond with what I am used to using it, the makers have been very brave in making this ergonomic mouse, as I think it is definitely beneficial to the wrist and hand, it is just so hard to get used to using, I am on my computer for many hours and to date I have not been able to use this quickly it just takes too much time and trouble. As I said at the beginning of this review, I want to be fair as the makers have taken a lot of trouble in designing and bringing this mouse to the market, the mouse looks beautiful and also does look hard to use, I was apprehensive about using it, but I think if I preserved I will get used to it, so if you want a bit of a challenge then this mouse is for you, it does everything and more than a traditional mouse and also looks nicer, I cannot recommend it as it may not appeal to most people, but recommend it only to those people who want a challenge, also, the price is not cheap either, as a result, I am giving this mouse four stars.

Product is for large hands - this should be stated on website
For me, the biggest problem with this mouse is that the product description on the website doesn't specify that it has been designed for large hands. The information that the product comes with does state this quite clearly. As it is, actually having smallish hands, the mouse is too broad for a comfortable grip. I'm on my computer for long periods during the day and was hoping that this would really help me as I have RSI pain that runs from the back of the hand, down to the edges of the wrist, but unfortunately, using this gives me a whole new area of discomfort. In smaller hands, it causes an unnatural stretch between the forefinger and the thumb as it's just too wide to hold easily. I like several things about it - the wheel to operate the volume is a good feature, the lights are very nice, the ergonomic positioning of buttons etc. will take a bit of getting used to but I'm sure that you could get used to them with a bit of use. Apart from that, the product seems well made and stylishly designed. Overall, I can't give this more than 3 stars as the product description (online) is lacking such key information about this mouse - that it will not fit everybody's hand. However, my husband likes the idea and look of it, so he's going to try it out and I will update this when he gives me his opinion.

reliable wireless connection
Having spent countless hours at my computer, a regular mouse just wasn't cutting it. This vertical design genuinely made a noticeable difference in comfort. My wrist sits in a more natural position and I've experienced a clear reduction in the usual fatigue. The adjustable sensitivity levels mean I can alter it according to my activity, be it design work or casual browsing. Charging is straightforward with the included cable, and the charge seems to last a good duration. The connection remains strong and uninterrupted even when my computer is a fair distance away.
