Q: I just got this ball in the mail and it didn't come in any sort of official packaging. how do i know it's a legit aramith product? i might return it.

If it does not come in the original Aramith packaging, it is a Chinese knock off. If it is aChinese knock off, it is made out of polyester resin, it is not made out of phenolic and it does not have the same Aramith quality. Return immediately and always make sure it has the original wrapper from Aramith. Seller is either not telling you the truth here, or doesn't play pool and doesn't know.

Q: what is the purpose of the red dots?

looking straight at a cue ball without the dot, one can imagine a center dot. With the center of the ball in mind, there are nine other places around the center you can hit a ball for proper english; left right, top bottom, etc.; the dots show in which direction the cue ball is spinning when/if you put any type of english on it. watch youtubes with Efren Reyes, that'll show you english with this ball.

This ball is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. I love this cue ball. One of my friends who is better than I am recommended this ball. My game has definitely improved since I bought this ball.
