I have been using this Oxidizer for the hot tub that I take care for over 2 years now. It keeps the water really clean and stable and I can safely say that I have had less problems with water balance since I have been using this product (along with their sanitizer).

This is a standard formula for non-chlorine shock, no surprises, no crazy ingredients. It's the Potassium Peroxymonosulfate (which, if I understand chemistry, is the exact same as Monopersulfate, just a different way of saying it). It uses reactive oxygen to remove contaminants (sweat, urine, organic debris). It's gentler on the eyes and skin than chlorine. It dissolves quickly and leaves no powder or residue. And you can swim in just 15 minutes. This may cause alkalinity and pH to decrease. It works with any kind of pool (salt, chlorine, UV, ion, ozone, etc), but it does not replace sanitizers. The dose is 2 ounces per 500 gallons. As you probably know, rates for pool product have been nuts these past few years, it's hard to keep track of what's a good deal any more. As a benchmark, currently at least, I find that about ten bucks per pound is about right for a small container, and five bucks per pound is the lowest you'll find for a larger container (such as 25 pounds).

I needed this to tone down the chlorine smell in my hot tub (that was burning my eyes) & it did just that.

Great alternative to chloring/bromine shock. Works quickly and doesn't create the same spike in sanitizer levels found in traditional shocks.
