Q: Has anyone used these for bottling beer?

Most of them have liners so they could technically be used to bottle beer but this is not recommended and performance is not guaranteed. The items is a decorative/collector product.

Q: My daughter wants to use this for an elementary school project, so caps for alcoholic beverages would not be suitable. Does this set have those in it?

The set I got are all soda caps. However, sets vary so I can't confirm proof positive that all sets are like mine.
