Good deal so far.
It works as good as hot spotting my Iphone. But the ATT signal at my house isn't great. I leave mine plugged in all the time, with the battery out. That is the only way I get a strong enough signal to work the way I want. I leave the cover off and have a small cooling fan going on it all the time. I also have an external antenna hooked up to it all the time. If I don't do all of this, it won't work. I also have to check on it every few days because I get spam messages to the phone number that goes to it. If I don't delete the messages or it won't work. When I purchased this, ATT didn't have a wireless router like they do now. That might work better than this, but I paid a lot for this and I am making it work. I have a lake place that has a better ATT signal and it works better out there. When I have a good ATT signal I can have 10 different wifi items hooked up. When the signal is not good, I have to go around and turn off Wifi on a few things, until I get enough signal to run what I want.

Absolute piece of crap
I should have known better than to buy refurbished electronic equipment. I learned this lesson years ago, but I guess my memory lessened the experience over time. I remember oh so well now. The charger that came with it won't run the device without the battery in it. Tried a different charger and it would cycle on and off. Next the SIM card was hard to install. After watching video I got it in - no signal. Checked the net and they said sim card had to installed just right to make it work. Since the charger doesn't work this meant removing battery, moving the card a bit and then reinstalling battery. Each time 5 minute time for device to boot up. After 30 minutes of this I realized - this is a complete piece of crap. Back in the box and off to Amazon it goes. DON'T PURCHASE!!! There is a reason this is so heavily discounted and not worth it even at that price.

Pretty much plug and go
I ordered this as a refurbished piece of equipment and got it much cheaper than brand new. I took it to AT&T and they set me up with a SIM card and unlimited connection and data without throttling. It was really simple to set up, and change any settings I wanted. It has a fast connection and works great. I can stream on a couple devices without issues, though at first there seemed to be some but they went away without having to do anything. I can’t cloud game or do any multiplayer but for a mobile hotspot it gets the job done for watching tv/movies. I used it to stream the Paul Tyson fight and didn’t have any issues until Netflix servers had the issues.

Works great in rural areas.
I ordered the Nighthawk pro and the first delivery I received was a watch. I contacted the seller and they quickly sent me a return label and instructions to ship it back for a refund. This is why I'm only giving it 4 stars. Now on to the review of the product. We live out in the country and our only other options for internet is satellite. A friend recommended the Nighthawk pro so I ordered another from the same seller. It arrived and looks brand new. It did come with a different charger than factory but it charged right up and works fine. The range isn't the greatest but we found a spot in the house where we can stream on all of our TV's and my son is able to play games on his desktop. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a mobile hotspot.

So far so good.
The device came in retail packaging. It powered up OK but the interface was in Spanish at first. It's confusing because you can't change the language in the menus. You have to go into the settings to Factory Reset. As it restarts it gives you the option to switch to English. The Samsung power adapter that was included works as expected. It switches from 5V to 9V. A regular 5V adapter might not work since it seems to need 9V for the high power mode (2.5G Ethernet, WiFi 6, and extended WiFi range). Some reviewers complain that it needs to restart when you change modes. This is normal for this type of device. It only takes about a minute to restart. Also, you need to take out the battery for the high power mode. I think it gets too hot in that mode and the battery can get damaged.I'm hoping this things lasts. I got the extended warranty just in case. Mine is labeled AT&T but hopefully it's unlocked since I want to use T Mobile. I'll find out tomorrow. The WiFi range isn't the best, but for such a tiny device it's not bad. I'll just be using it for my office and as a backup for livestreaming. The range would likely be better with antennas.I'm happy I was able to get this device for such a low price. Such a great deal. No other device has all the features of this one, but $999 is to much to pay for a new one.

Not an Unlocked Device
In the description it says it is an unlocked device. This is not the case and attempting to unlock a device has been needless to say annoying. Multiple phone calls with people just giving me another phone number to call. I was finally given a store location that may unlock it for me, but this was 4 hours of being on hold and being told we can't help. Either it is blatant lying in the product description or poor evaluation. Either way the product was not what was advertised.

Works great on all networks I've tried
Works on all networks I've tried-- ATT, TBlow & VZW in the US as well as Orange in Europe (in roaming mode, as a matter of fact!).

Road hard and put away wet
I wasn't sure what to expect from a "renewed" Nighthawk, but I was hoping for a better conditioned unit. Mine came with no instructions (easy to find online), and both antenna ports were missing covers. But the worst part is that the screen looked like it took a slide down a steep concrete sidewalk. It's still readable, but it looks horrible. The sides and back have seen some battle too.Maybe I was expecting too much? But I did use it to run an RTK unit for a drone today, and it worked great. And it didn't get hot. I would definitely get a spare battery and a case. Overall a good unit, but don't expect it to look very nice.Functional, but abused.
