This cane worked great after my knee replacement. The light was perfect for getting out of bed during the night, so I didn't have to turn on other lights.The light on the handle, does make the cane a little top heavy, even with the wide foot on it. It can tip over if you set it off to the side. Even though it did fall over a few times the light still works. Even though I only had to use it for 6 weeks, I still have it in the car, if I need it on uneven surfaces.

This is a great walking cane for seniors, and younger people, alike. It’s sturdy, reasonably lightweight, and seems durable. The cane folds into 3 pieces and may be stored in an accompanying carrying bag for easy portability. When you’re ready to use it, you just pull it out, undo the Velcro strap that holds it together, and let the strong elastic cords inside the cane do their job to pull and snap the 3 pieces together. (I like that the Velcro strap stays attached to the cane for convenience - You don’t have to worry about storing or losing it!)The cane is adjustable to 8 different heights. While I found it easy to press the silver metal button to adjust the heights, someone with weaker fingers might need a little help with that. But once adjusted to your height, you can probably leave it on that setting.I like that this comes with a wrist strap that you can leave on…or detach, if you don’t need it. I personally think the wrist strap is handy, though, and the material of the strap is surprisingly soft for a wrist strap. I really wasn’t expecting that! This is a thoughtful consideration to older folks who might have more sensitive skin.The handle on this cane has a rubberized grip and indentations on the underside for your fingers. It helps to make the grip more comfortable and easy on the hand. I like that the underside is a bright red colour that I can easily see…and the top side is a beige or grey colour that is also easy to see.On the handle, there’s a bright, easy-to-press red button that you can press to turn on the lighting feature on this cane. Press the button once to turn on the forward-facing light, again to access the downward-facing light, again to access both lights at the same time, and one more time to turn it off. This illumination is another thoughtful and useful feature on this cane to help ensure that you can see where you are walking in dark settings. The flashlight requires 2 AA batteries. (Note: The batteries are not included. In my video, I didn’t bother reading the instructions, so I didn’t realize that there weren’t already batteries installed, at first…but when I realized it, I found that they were easy to install.) As mentioned above, the flashlight button is very easy (and satisfying) to press with your thumb (or any other finger, if you choose). It does not require any real strength in the fingers and a senior should not have difficulty pressing it.The bottom of the cane is held stable by a wide, 4-toed rubber foot or grip. The four toes provide greater stability on the base (and keeps it upright) and the rubber helps to ensure that the cane won’t slip easily. If you don’t feel that you need the wider 4-toed rubber foot, also included in the package is a separate, “regular” or single-toed rubber foot that you can swap in, instead. Both types of “feet” have grooves in them to help grip the ground and prevent slipping.I ordered this cane in the green colour and I’m glad that I did. The green is very nice and classy-looking - Neutral, but still unique. I like it!I like this walking cane. It’s a nice-looking cane, but more importantly, it’s functional and easy to hold onto. I think it’s really thoughtfully designed with convenience and seniors in mind. It’s easy to use and seems durable, strong, and stable.At this price point (about $60 at the time of this review), I think it’s well worth the spend!

I purchased this cane after trying several different styles and it is AMAZING! Where to begin? It is everything as advertised and more! The handle is so comfortable, and it has two lights in the front-one for straight ahead and one for the floor in front of you! I love how it stands on its own, and gently pivots quietly while in motion! It feels very sturdy, even though it folds into three pieces for travel! A nice travel bag and regular style rubber “foot” are also included! I purchased the Hunter Green one, and it’s every bit as good looking as it is functional! I am an elderly woman, and I feel totally safe and comfortable with this cane!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a seriously great walking stick with a great name (“big Alex” is the product name). I got the blue colourway, and I absolutely love the way that the handle is contrasting white and orange, and it's a lovely, vibrant and shiny blue shaft.The cane is collapsible for storing or transporting, which is great. It comes with a little velvet bag (with its name on it!). However, when assembled, it is VERY sturdy, I can put all my weight on it, and it holds up. Height can be adjusted with the push of a button. It also has a wrist strap, so it won't fall on the ground when not in use."Big Alex" comes with a large base, which does not slide even on my slick foyer floor. It also has a small regular rubber bottom if you don't like the wide base. This is fantastic!"Big Alex" also has a light (with a simple push button to operate) on the handle, a great feature. I have not gotten around to getting batteries for it yet, and while it's a nice feature to have, really not essential for my purposes. However, I see how it can be very useful, and one of these days I'll put batteries into it.This is really a fantastic cane - I have had many canes to help me with intermittent mobility, and I absolutely love this one-- the appearance, how strong it is, and how stable it is. Cannot recommend enough, and I will be strongly recommending it to anyone I know who needs a walking stick.
