Does the job and does it well.
This bug swatter has surpassed my expectations, and I respect practical and efficient solutions. Because of its ideal length and size, it is simple to handle and store. With just a button press, the device is ready to use and has intuitive controls. I value how lightweight and movable it is because it lets me quickly manage pests outside or travel from room to room. Hearing that zap and realizing the insect is gone is a really satisfying feeling. Overall, by eliminating the annoyance of flying insects, this zapper has really increased my comfort level indoors. This insect zapper is definitely worth taking into consideration if you're searching for a dependable and easy-to-use device. And for the price of one, you get two.

Noise might startle you
It definitely fries what gets inside the zapper. I've been using mine mostly on pantry moths and I've got to be careful they don't catch on fire. These would be great for use on mosquitos or house flies. I suspect they'd even get fruit flies but that season hasn't started here yet. It charges with supplied USB adapter. There is a switch so you can turn on the light if you'd like (when the power button is ON). There is a button on the side (above the ON switch) if you want to power up the zapper. It might be a little awkward at first but it's easy enough to hold it when gripping the handle. It's very light weight for what it does and it is definitely effective. Most people won't need the flashlight function but it is surprisingly effective at lighting up the targets.

Works a lot better than a traditional fly swatter
I like leaving my front door open and the security door screen openings are big enough that sometimes small gnats get thru. And it's unavoidable to periodically have a fly or other insect sneak in when the front door is open. I haven't owned a regular fly swatter in a long time and I'm always looking around for a newspaper or something I can roll up to try and swat the little buggers. Finally I decided to bite the bullet and buy a fly swatter but saw these electric ones that are now being sold so I thought I'd try the ZAP it. It was easy enough to charge and seemed to charge pretty fast. Naturally I didn't have any bugs flying around the house for a few weeks, but then I finally got a chance to use it. It took a little getting used to having to push the "ON" button with your thumb to make it work before swatting, but it definitely works well. The greatest thing about this unit is that you only have to make contact with the bug, you don't have to smash it. And while it doesn't always kill the bug, it stuns it so it falls to the ground where you can finish the job. I wish I never had to deal with bugs flying around the house, but this is more effective than a regular fly swatter. It stays charged a very long time. I have never had it lose a charge, but I charge it a few times a year just to make sure it is always ready when needed. The only bad thing is you can only swat flies out in the open. If a bug flys behind the blinds, I would not swat the blinds with this. And if a bug is sitting on a counter, I try to come down over the bug to zap it when it takes off, but not swat it on the counter itself. I took off one star because I really only need one and don't like the extra expense of being required to buy a two-pack. But I gave the other one to a friend who is also enjoying uses it and finds it very effective.

Satisfying mosquito fishing trips!
This is my 3rd zapper and by far the best! 4000V makes a big difference. The "POP" is sooo satisfying. The backyard has been filled with mosquitoes after the heatwave. Why do those buggers like heat so much? Why don't they sweat and weigh down their little pesky wings and drop dead? So I sat in the yard. I use my body as bait. It's my favorite way of mosquito fishing. POP POP ZAP. I stopped counting after 50 or so. After 20 or so VERY satisfying minutes, they started thinning down. Only an occasional brave one (or slow learner?) came around. POP. ZAP. Then nobody bothered me anymore. I mean, NOBODY. How does this work? I mean, if they can learn so fast, they should have been living in their miniature houses and miniature blood-pool nurseries by now damnit. As you can see, I hate mosquitoes with passion. And this is the best thing for us haters. Oh, and USB charging is very good. Disposable batteries are so, er, uncivilized. Looking forward to future mosquito fishing trips in the yard. PS: A tip if a mosquito gets in the house: close the door, turn on the fan. They'll die from exhaustion in half an hour. Did I say I hate mosquitoes?
