WITTNER Cello Tailpiece, 4/4 (420630)

I have this product on two of my celli, and I LOVE them. It frees things up to vibrate and I noticed an instant difference in the voice projection of my celli! It's relatively easy to change, and has a much sturdier tailgut than comes with a lot of tail pieces. For the price point, this is a great item and Wittner seems to have the musical market cornered.

4 stars for installation due to the nature of the beast, not because it is any harder that expected but you have to unsting it which means the bridge is now loose and care must be taken. In placing it before reassembling everything. Otherwise it works and sounds great.

Awesome product and great price.Too bad the box it came in was smashed flat during shipping but thankfully the product is well made and held its own.

This tailpiece is a wonderful replacement for the alloy tailpiece on my cello. The original tailpiece "buzzed" when playing the "C" string. The Wittner is easy to install and the fine tuners turn easily and are very stable.

I was very skeptic when a read the reviews saying the cello sound change a lot and improved the sound of it. But after I installed the tailpiece, my cello sounds different more resonant, with more ring and faster response in the strings. it does no change the character of the cello, I think just improves the sound a bit.Totally recommend it.

I was a little skeptical that this would make much difference. Was wrong, huge difference!
