Capsule with Medical Information Insert with Steel Chain

it is a good product and a necessary product for anyone with health issues. We bought this for our 2nd son who is 23 and has bi polar and is allergic to penicillin. He is happy to wear it and keeps it safe. He only wears it when out of the house and he has been very careful with it. The chain is better for a young man. Our son didn't want the medic bracelet. He preferred the chain and this does it's job and is in trend. Also we think very good value as some can be an absolute ridiculous high price.If you have a budget with no limits then fine however for the average person you should find this O.K It is a good price for this product which does what it is supposed to do. It has a decent chain thickness also so is sturdy. Not too thick or too thin

I bought this as a replacement for a flatter style of capsule, which i misplaced. I am very pleased with it and it is so much easier to access the information inside ( the paper is also larger) than the one i misplaced - also the chain is of a better quality. I am steroid dependant so easy access to information is important in case of emergency - I also carry a Utag card - which is credit card sized and has a usb connection - you put your info on it and it can be edited easily. I would also reccommend this as well.

I am glad I bought this, I have had other medilert necklaces in the past but the paper inside was flimsy and it was difficult to include all information. I found the paper inside this allertag much stronger and very easy to roll back up tightly, so it would fit back into the container. It took 2 attempts the first time I did it, but I was not rolling it tightly enough at the beginning. This was my error, not a fault of the paper. They give you 2 spare papers for the capsule, so if you do not get it quite right the first time, you can always try again. With so much to write, I did try to roll up and put 2 pieces of paper in together, but I could not do this. You can write on both sides of the paper and it is thick/strong enough for the words not to bleed through to the other side. I managed to get information onto it re 3 chronic conditions and 6 drugs I take, along with my GP phone nos, NHS nos and a pnone nos for next of kin. Plus personal information and 4 insulin dosages, I have never managed all this in the past. Attaching the capsule back onto its lid, which is attached to the necklace was the most difficult bit, but a couple of attempts got it back in place. I actually tested the capsule by putting it in a bowl of water and it remained water tight with the paper inside completely dry. Most important for holidays where swimming or other water activities are planned. It also means you do not have to remove it when going in the shower or bath. I have found some medilert necklaces do not stand up to this test. Chain is strong and fits easily over my head and glasses. It is long enough to be hidden under clothing if so required. I would recommend this to others. 13th April 2023 I am about to replace my original allertag which lasted 10 years. The reason for replacement is cosmetic, the black colouring inside the staff and snake motif and the allertag name has slowly flaked off, making them difficult to see. Otherwise it would not need replacing.

I put my own typed information in the capsule. Managed to get loads of information on it. Obviously not many people will look round someones neck, but at least my son can tell people who he is with, when he feels the onset of his medical condition, where to find the information.

Can't use as it won't stay screwed up. Chain is tarnished too. Waste of money.

does the job, but it is quite clunky for something you wear all the time. not seen a smaller one, so maybe its unavoidable.

The pendant is very robust and I bought it with a long chain, which suits me. There was enough room on the insert to include ALL my drugs and some medical information. All in all, it's a reassurance to know that, should I be involved in an accident, the emergency services will have instant access to vital information.

Nice quality and with a strong chain. Not too heavy. Came with spare paper inserts in case medical condition changes. Plenty of space on front and back to include a lot of details.
