2 x 3/4" BSP Thread Water Butt Taps with Push on Fitting

Ideal replacements.

This is a sturdy water butt tap that does the job perfectly. I'm not quite sure when you might use a hose as the pressure isn't sufficient from a water butt, but the click fitting is a bit loose for our Hoselock accessories. Unfortunately we've now realised there's a tiny split at the bottom of the tap hole which leaks, so unless we can repair that, we can't test if the water won't leak through to top of the Hoselock fitting when attached to the tap. I'll update this review if and when we've been able to test it!

Value for money…absolutely.Study….seems so.Easy to fit…fits my water butt perfectlyHoweverUpon first fitting I found the water flow very slow. I took the Tao off again and compared it to the one I was replacing. The hole in the body of the valve has moulding flash in it compared to the original which was clean.Either turning the tap to open or pulling the tap out of the body of the valve means you can poke something through the excess plastic that partially blocks the hole. Once put back in the water butt full flow is restored.See the photos showing the partially blocked replacement tap that I ordered compared to the clean moulding of the much more expensive original tap.BTW the reason for swapping the tap at all was because the tap handle was broken off the original by flying debris during a storm.I’d buy these agin but I’d check for moulding issues before installing.

I was so pleased with the taps. They arrived quickly and on time. The two taps were well made and have ‘on and off’ which the original didn’t have. It was easy to fit and there are no leaks.

Used on a waterbutt.Easy to fit, but the sealing washer is pretty hard so not too conforming. This lead to a slight weep from the badly finished interior of the drum I was using. Tightening up might have cured this except that the plastic thread won't stand any more tightening.It's useable, and acceptable for the money. Maybe I could have got better quality for twice the price or more, but good enough is basically - good enough

These should have been free from Amazon... I will tell you why...Becuase the water butt that I purchased from Amazon had been dragged across the road and broken the original tap making it next to useless!The replacemnets were perfect, they even have a fitting on to connect a click-fit hose to them!

The taps both work and fit the barrels I was fitting them to. Nothing much to add there.I am very pleased with them.There is nothing wrong with them.If I had to find fault it would be with the thickness of the flexible sealing washer.As with other taps of this design, they all use the same thickness washer. The trouble comes when the barrel manufacturers do not set the threaded tap holes at the right position so that the optimal compression of the sealing washer.You either end up with the tap fitted at some wonky angle, or the seal will squirt out if you over-tighten it to line the tap up.In this case you also risk breaking the tap.The inclusion of a half-thickness sealing washer would allow this issue to be solved easily.As I said, this is **NOT** a fault with the tap. It is just an observation I have made when it comes to water barrels in general (that have threaded tap holes).

Good quality fitting and easy to fit for my application but consider your options before ordering.The valves work well and the fitting is good for Hozelock fittings.

23H , je viens de voir qu'ils ont été livrsé dans ma boîte aux lettres par colis privé donc c'est bien ce que je voulais mais je ne vais pas aller les essayer maintenant !dJe les change de temps à autre, j'ai plusieurs récupérateurs : quatre, car ils finissent par se casser.Je viens d'en casser un même si je les enlève l’hiver.Je vais voir s'il peut aller parce que mon entrée est un peu spéciale on peut pas mettre l'écrou mais ils me semblent de bonne qualité.Ils viennent d’Angleterre.On peut mettre un tuyau , il est compatible avec les raccords.Je les ai achetés 11,48 € le 13 septembre, je les reçois le 17 ils sont à 14, 24 € !! plus 20 % !Multi-Insert Round moule en siliconeVoilà, ce 19 septembre, j'ai pu mettre ce robinet, il a très bien fonctionnémême sans l'écrou. Si je l'avais mis hier cela aurait rempli ma récupérateur !

BENEMettiamo caso che siate, come me, tipi un pò accumulatori da dispensa e che siate un pò impallinati con i contenitori magnum e jumbo di detersivi e prodotti per la casa.Acquistate così, come me, confezioni da 5 litri di detergente, sapone, alcool... comodi nell'acquisto, economici ma forse un pò complicata la gestione logistica e i rabbocchi per i contenitori piccoli da lavoro quotidiano.E questo è bene, perchè sicuramente c'è anche un aspetto ecologico in questa gestione: non si butta la spruzzino ma si riempie dal contenitore più grande (5 litri) che in rapporto al contenuto ha un consumo di plastica inferiore.E anche economico perchè una confezione da 5 litri costa mediamente meno o molto meno di 6 o 7 confezioni da 750 o 600ml. Quindi BENEMa poi il BENE diventa BENISSIMO quando si trova una soluzione che consente un rabbocco rapido e comodo. Così mi è venuto in mente di inserire un rubinetto nel tappo del contenitore, così che quando ho necessità di rabboccare lo spruzzino ci metto un secondo, senza imbuti, gocce o perdite varie.L'ho messo direttamente nel tappo così posso cambiarlo molto rapidamente quando il contenitore da 5 litri sarà vuoto e ne avrò uno nuovo in sostituzione: cambio il tappo e ... voilà.Inoltre essendo sul tappo, la posizione a riposo prevede che il rubinetto sia in alto, non sollecitato dalle pressioni interne del liquido e distorsioni della plastica: non perderà mai...MORALEi due rubinetti sono perfetti per le mie esigenze, hanno un dado di serraggio e le guarnizioni che mi consentono di fissarlo facilmente e senza perdite. Il costo non è bassissimo per l'utilizzo che ne faccio io, ma devo dire che ne sono pienamente soddisfatto.CONSIGLIOho fatto un segno colorato sul rubinetto in modo da capire immediatamente la posizione di chiusura e sicurezza, essendo tutti e due i lati neri capire al volo quando è aperto o chiuso potrebbe non essere immediato.#124 @20201021
