Great overall. NOT for kids! 25 hour build!
Overall I was very happy and would buy another kit from the same manufacturer. Of course I wasn’t expecting much from something other than Lego but was surprised. There were plenty of extra parts left over (added pic) and only one misshapen part, but it was extra.Difficult build and took a little to figure out how the instructions worked. Mostly you are building layer by layer so not a full tree but each layer of the tree along with the rest of the layer.Took about 24 hours to complete and needed tweezers! Parts are not bagged in any order so you will want to spend time separating by color. I finally did that several hours into the project! The only part the was off was actually the last piece to put together. The hair on the last character didn’t have the hole for the tip of the head. I ended up cutting off the tab on the top and glue it down but that was the only defect that affected the build.Again, not for kids! I would suggest 14+

Love! Love! Love this!
It looks amazing when it's completed, easy to do and so much fun. It was exactly as it was described. I love doing the micro legos so much.

Really fun, albeit frustrating at times
Pieces are tiny so hard to work with. If I had to remove pieces from each other, pieces would go flying off so make sure you are 100% sure before placing. As others mentioned, the instructions are also like a puzzle. Very vague but make enough sense. Sometimes pieces were flimsy and would not stick to each other or would hold together. The further you got, the more delicate it became. Branches and flowers kept falling off and i ended up sticking the branches whereever since they kept falling. Got a little top heavy over the end.Overall, really fun to build, even if I went crazy a little. Very pretty but fragile. Would of rated higher if it did not fall apart the moment I tried to take a picture for this review.

No patience
Ok it is really cute…. Until you try to put it together. The instructions are not the easiest. I had to get a magnifying glass to look at the example and try to get the pieces on. The instructions did get easier after the base was completed. I ended up having to get a base board and start on that. The pieces are super tiny which I expected but I have big fingers and it was a challenge. About 3/4th’s done I started having issues with it falling apart. It seemed everytime I tried to add the next piece a previous piece would fall off. I go to put that back and something else fell off. Over and over and over. I got to where you add the 3 rounded pieces with all the flowers and I couldn’t get them on because something kept falling off. I’m not going to be able to finish this one 😭😭😭

Extremely difficult build - NOT FOR KIDS
First of all, the model is beautiful and very detailed. I'm glad we purchased it.~~~BUT~~~I bought this as a gift for an almost 13-year-old boy who is a very experienced Lego builder (my son and I assembled the massive Lego double-looping roller coaster in about 4 hours). My son started building the Zoo and WAS UNABLE TO EVEN GET THE BASE BUILT. When I took over, the single first step of building just the base took over 90 minutes to complete. While the instructions showed what the outcome should be, it expected you to lay out 80 pieces flat in a specific pattern and then the second step was to layer on top of it without knocking everything out of alignment...which turned out to be impossible and I was forced to build step 1 and step 2 at the same time.I just finished this model moments ago and estimate having spent upwards of 50-60 hours putting this together. While I personally wanted something challenging for myself to build, I never would have purchased this for my son if I had known what we were in store for.In addition to what is in the box, you will also need a magnifying glass and really good light to figure out the instructions, and since these are mini bricks, much smaller than Legos, you will probably also need a pair of needlenose pliers in order to wedge certain pieces in and pull them out when they are placed incorrectly. By about halfway through the build, the designer's choices started making sense and the building went a bit faster, but for the first half, most of the time was spent sorting for pieces and trying to figure out what the instructions were trying to tell me to do.But the model is really nice and solid.

Fun and sturdy when assembled
This was loads of fun to assemble. So much so that I bought the other style once I'd finished the first one. It's a little confusing and there are so very many pieces, but if you like putting these things together, this is a good one. I should mention that the bags the pieces come in aren't in assembly order, not that I could tell at least.

Girl Gift
Do you have someone in your life who loves Japan but you can't afford to go... this is a great option instead. Combo with some take out sushi and a pretty puzzle protect like this she will forget all about trying to fix her daddy issues and trying to support you through your abandonment issues. Diamonds are a girls best friend but a cherry blossom Lego set will shut her up until finishes. Great gift with a partner with ADHD.Don't let kids help or it will ruin her fun.
