fits well if you bend it a little to make it tighter. does a decent job of shading the camera from the sides. doesn't seem to cause and flight issues. the only complaint I have is that is DOES get into the frame on the sides when taking video and moving the drone. the attached picture was clipped from a video I was taking. I was gently strafing right, following my neighbor walking, and then I let go of the stick. as the drone braked and tilted the opposite way, the shield got in there quite noticeably(see left side of attached picture). it does not show up in images while moving the camera up/down when the drone is idle hovering. so not a huge issue.

Product matches the DJI Mavic Pro very well which is a huge Pro in my book for this dealer. I can verify that it is incredibly hard to make this camera hood show in-frame. I’m talking strong headwind and full throttle in sport mode, seeing the props before the hood type of difficult. So I can say I am very satisfied with the performance of the hood, I am 98% of the time in GPS or Cenima mode so I never have any issues. You guys looking to improve your shots with no obstruction this is the one you want.The reason for the 4 starThe hood fits and performs exactly as described, but I counted off a star due to the fitment when on the drone itself. The hood installs just as you would install the gimbal protector, which was an ingenious idea of utilizing prexisting slots. While the hood had no play in fitment moving forward and backwards in relation to the drone, lateral or left and right fitment is quite loose. I’m not sure how this will play out over time if anything at all should occur, but i do have my own personal concerns with it. I don’t want it fibrating on the drone, as all owners know they are very sensitive to foreign vibrations and i don’t want it stractchng up any surfaces, hidden or not. But, as of now no issues and I’ve gotten much improved video footage. Shipping was quick and painless, thanks again.

Generally improved.I use the earlier model all the time and have saved my gimbal on a couple of rough landings.I got this 'improved' hood and saw a lot of things I like and it does a better job of blocking sun flares.However, I must be honest....the snap-on- snap-off detail is loose and I fear it will not stay on when...push-comes-to-shove. I will use the 'improved' one until it falls off.Lastly, I will do some minor modifications to make the latch more secure.....maybe time for 'rev c'.

I loved the concept bit from a light blocker and a gimble protector. Installed easy and I could just leave it on.Unfortunately, it messed up the focus both camera and video. I was shooting an evening wedding and was rushed switching from the Nikon and the Mavic. Got it airborne and it looked a little fuzzy on the iPad screen but didn't have time to diagnose so I just continued to take pictures and video. When I downloaded, sure enough, everything was a bit fuzzy.I just spent some time trying to solve the issue. I tried multiple software flying programs, made sure everything was clean, checked all the settings, and cycled between manual and autofocus. Then I realized the only thing different was the Lens Hood. I removed it and everything was perfect and back to normal. Camera and video, up close and at altitude all prefect. Not sure how the Lens Hood was messing up the focus, but it was.Too bad, the concept was good, but it was a waste of $10.

Does not fit very well - it rattles around a bit. I expect I will lose it before too long. Tried to email the maker to see if I got a bad one - no response so changing my review to 1 star for poor customer service.

Failed start sequence causing Gimble Over Load message. Tried reseating same result. Waited until after start sequence completed, then installed. Same result.

This sun shade design is very well thought out. It gives the gimbal full range of motion without obstructing the view even when flying in sport mode. Fit is fairly good...doesn't rattle like mentioned in other reviews but it would be nice if the side to side movement was reduced slightly. The shape acts like an air scoop allowing for better cooling. I wish this version had come out before I purchased the other inferior versions.
