Works fine.
Goes together easy. Here how:Grab the handles and pull it into a rectangle shape. There's two attached pieces on top that look like football goals, those go down and into clips to help it keep its shape. There's a long U shaped piece. That holds the flat back door closed (end closest to the trip pedal.). It goes through the holes in the brackets and also the loops on the back door.To set it, squeeze the weird contraption on the end furthest from the pedal until the door goes up. Use the long metal arm from the pedal to hook onto the loose piece on the right side beside the door you just raised. There should be a loose spinning tube, that rests on the hooked piece that the arm hooks to.

weak spot is the back door-probably would help to add extra vertical rod or wires
This is a great trap - It seems a little weak for some Ohio critters - the back was bent up & it got away. I think I'll drive a rod/stake through the cage in back into the ground. I'll bet it won't get away again! Just beware weak spot is where the back rods sides in, maybe rap with some wire or side kind of straight metal, see front is still strong & intact. This is probably rare but some of these ground hogs around here are 30lbs+. Still worth money if looking.

Totally NOT Heavy Duty as described
I believe in reading and appreciate reviews fpr help in making my choice in product selection. This is NOT A HEAVY DUTY PRODUCT!! Please keeping reading so you can decide for yourself if you are willing to give this product a try. This product was purchased in March to try and trap a skunk, or family of skunks, as our 30+ yr old live trap’s door was not tripping. By mid-April, with this new live trap, two animals had been caught and managed to escape. It was beyond the 30 day return period, but I reached out to the seller and asked about warranty. They said it was under warranty and asked for pictures. I sent one of the pics as posted above in this review. They responded asking for more pictures. I sent the remaining pics posted in this review. Their reply was, they determined by the photos sent that the cage was damaged from an animal outside the cage trying to get in for the food and offered a courtesy $10.00 credit and suggested tip that we not put debris inside the cage by the food bait. Ummm, we don't bait the trap and then close the door so they can’t get to the food??? AND, we don’t put debris in the cage. That debris is from the animal that was caught trying to dig it’s way out and bent the wire support by the trap door enough that it escaped. This cage was rated for groundhog, Beaver, raccoon, opossum, skunk, mole (although I don’t have a clue how a mole would come out of the underground to go in this cage). My reply was sent back to the seller and they refused to stand by their product and suggested that since this was delivered by Amazon, I contact “Official Amazon Customer Service” and request a refund. I did and Amazon has agreed to refund my purchase.

Squirrels deserve to be trapped and relocated, not killed!
Did you know that squirrels love avocados growing on a tree? We have two huge avocado trees in our backyard and we were constantly losing a battle with squirrels constantly taking bites out of far too many of our avocados just before they were ready to be picked. We wanted to catch the culprits and relocate them to a nearby golf course. To date we have successfully used this perfectly sized cage to humanly trap 5 of them. Though they may get mad, once the cage is transported to another location, the end is opened, and they sprint off. This cage was a perfect answer to our problem.

Damaged or crap
Trap arrived either damaged or a really crappy design. Spring door wasn't attached to the top of the cage, and the spring hook set was bent, as was the trap step. I had to MacGyver this thing a bit to work. Waiting to see if it works, or just going to harbor freight for one that might be easier to set.

Design OK
Several of the hinge crimps were loose and fell off. A strong pliers was used to close those crimps. Instructions could have been better. In particular, an overall explanation of how the trap works would have made it easier to understand the instructions.
