Plenty of power, sounds nice, good support (firmware updates)
Great little amp.My stack is a Wiim amp pro (for streaming and eq), Fosi ZD3 preamp, and Fosi ZA3 with the 48v power supply running in stereo mode. Mostly run from an apple tv sending hdmi to the tv then optical from there. The whole setup was easily under $500.I chose this setup in case I needed more power, I can simply add another amp and run mono, but it's definitely not needed. Runs a pair of Q Accoustic 5020s easily to unlistenable levels in a small/med size room (450sq/ft).I have the whole stack switched with a smart plug and haven't had any issues with powering off or on (unlike my last set of powered Swans speakers which blew up on power up).I was occasionally getting a little pop on power up and also a computerized "bzzzrt" very occasionally during listening. I just googled and found there was a firmware update for the Preamp (no issue with the amp). Just contact Fosi support and they give you the url for the updated firmware. Easy to install with a windows laptop and usb cord. Haven't had either issue since. Really nice to see firmware updates so quickly! So used to products this cheap being treated as "disposable" and not getting real support.I'm very happy with the performance and the support. I think it really helps that there seems to be a lot of love in the stereo community for this and other Fosi products. I hope it continues to get firmware updates in the future. The set looks really clean and very minimal. Used to do the whole rack or shelf system of components, but I'm over it. Most recently, I was using a set of powered speakers because I like not seeing the electronics. But when those failed you basically throw the whole thing away. I eventually had them fixed, but I don't like the idea of a failure being a total loss.So now I like having small separate pieces.I absolutely love the size. Even though the Fosi set looks very nice, I now have my entire multimedia set up hidden behind a small chest and subwoofer as shown in the last picture (please ignore my weird music choice). There is one downer on this product. It has a sub out which is great. But when you connect a subwoofer, it still sends full signal to the speaker outs. At high volumes you can hear the small bookshelf speakers trying to put out bass that's not really needed with a sub.Edit: I forgot my SVS subwoofer has a high pass eq! So now I have the preamp go into the subwoofer and pass through to the amp. The sub out should really be on the preamp not the amp. Weird choice.

Great amplifier for record player set up
I was looking for a traditional two channel receiver with a subwoofer output. I didn’t see much and nothing I liked for what I was trying to do. I didn’t know something like this existed until I started researching small receivers and amplifiers. I wanted my set up to be minimal and this fit perfectly into my plan. My turntable has a built in preamp so I am able to plug it directly into the ZA3. I have no bass or treble control in my set up and it sounds great; crisp and clear with depth to the sound. It has good power but I am considering adding a second one for a little more.

Perfect Desktop Amp
Excellent little desktop/home audio amplifier. Got my own homemade speakers hooked up to them with my desktop through the rca input and they sound fantastic! Really brought my speakers to life with a higher amount of detail than I was ever expecting from such an affordable amplifier. Highly recommend to anyone looking into setting up a small audio system on a budget, or for anyone looking for the perfect desktop amplifier to power their speakers.

Perform much better than expected
As a skint audiofool, I’m always on the lookout for gear that punches above its price point. The Fosi Audio ZA3 has been making waves in the audio community for its versatility, affordability, and impressive specs, so I decided to put it to the test in a challenging scenario: driving a pair of Magnepan 1.6/QR speakers as monoblocks. As with all Maggies, they do enjoy some juice, and the ZA3s certainly don't embarrass themselves. In fact, they cope rather well. I'm planning on playing around with the op-amps to see if I can get a little bit more refinement from the top end.

Well implemented power amp with gain control and small footprint
This small amplifier is well designed and good value for the money with connectivity for many options. It is ideal for anyone needing a small desktop or bedroom amp especially. For music sound quality you would be better served by buying the entry level receiver from Yamaha. These small amps just can’t compete with the larger integrated or power amps for music listening .That said,I am keeping this as it works well and the Fosi people did a good job designing and implementing this. I am looking forward to future products they introduceThe ZA3 has a clear sound with defined left and right separation, the trade off to this benefit is a shallow depth soundstage and lean BassBass is there, just not a lot of authority. The ZA3 may work best in conjunction with a preamp as at low volumes the potentiometer is touchy

Very nice amp
I bought a pair and I am very happy. I used them in my work shop to power some Paradigm bookshelf speakers. I previously had a Fosi Audio V3. The new amps excel in every area and have lots of power reserve. The detail and soundstage is greatly improved along with more heft and body to the presentation. I have been running them 24/7 for a week o burn them in. The sound has improved. I have not tried XLR connections yet. The no run very cool in my application. The speaker binding posts are a joke. I run banana plugs so it is tolerable when running as a monoblock. I am looking forward to trying them on other systems in the house.

The hype is real! One of my favorites!
The hype is real! This is a fantastic little amplifier that both sounds and looks good! It plays loud with excellent detail. I used it with my 6 ohm Elac Debut speakers, a well as some 8ohm Klipsch. It always had more than enough power for my use! This is especially good if you want your amp to only fill a small footprint.

Don't let its size fool you.
Produces an amazing amount of power / volume for its size. Very quiet and efficient. I'm impressed. The build quality is excellent. The switches are solid and tactile, and the knob is firm with no play. Class D will be the future. Doesn't have the low-end punch of a true audio file amplifier, but run it with a sub and this thing will fill a room.
