Works amazing in commercial machine!
Thread is great! No problem with use. Running 1000+ spm. No breaks No tangles. Used big brands for years until now when needed for a last min project and ran out on a weekend. Ordered this up and will not go back.

Inconsistent results.
Silver - Used the Superior Thread Holder with a tension of 1, but could also use a serger thread stand. Had to make about 40 FSL stars. Thread still twists, but I rethreaded between stars. Gutermann and Superior metallics were constantly breaking. Not sure if this is better quality, or the cones just work better. First slow bobbin winding snapped thread.Gold- nothing but problems with breaking threads. One 4x4 star would have 5 or more breaks. So frustrating. Couldn't even load a full bobbin before thread twisted and snapped. Even tried thread net, but it didn't help.

Weak thread.
I wish I could give this 0 stars because it is honestly the worst thread I’ve ever worked with. I’m not exaggerating when I say that this breaks every 2 seconds. For the love of god, do not buy this.

Really has a metallic gold look
This thread is much finer than I thought it would be but through learning how to work with it I have come to love it. It is not cottony or a soft thread. It feels a little like a very fine wire or filament. I think it might be comparable to a 50wt thread in thickness. This makes it a little stiff but still flexible as it is spun with nylon inside. I bought it for hand embroidery so I have no problems with breaking or fraying. There is alot on the cone so it will last me forever unless I do a very large dense couple of projects.I find it works really well when two or three lengths are cut to use as strands along with cotton or polyester thread as embroidery floss. It couples with any colour nicely to make any colour shine or gleam depending on how many threads are used. My only problem is that it can slip off the cone completely if you hold it upside down by accident. This is fixable by putting a rubber band at the top part of the cone to prevent it sliding off. Would buy it again if I ever ran out.

Works perfect and Beautiful results.
I had many spools of metallic threads, but no silver, and a fear based on metallic reputation for breakage. Have no fear, just follow recommendations. Slow your machine speed, reduce the tension and put the thread in a holder or cup a few feet away from your machine to allow the thread to untwist before it gets to your machine. Sew out was easy and looks great. These are really big spools, so great value too.

Really breaks
I am not sure if I got a faulty spool or what but I have had at least 25 breaks in less than 10k stitches. I have tried to do everything I can think of. Top stitch needle, slowed my tension and speed down. Put a net over the cone. Some times it will sew out 2000 stitches and then break over and over in a 100 of them. The last few times I have pulled handfuls of thread off when I retread and that seem to help better than anything. One reason I think I could’ve gotten a faulty spool considering what others have said, but it’s been two months since I bought it so I will struggle through bc this pattern takes six hoopings Just beware
