Comprehensive detail
I like this book as it clearly explains the underlying causes for hashimotos and gives some priorities where to look for solutions. There is a lot of information out there and having a solid understanding will help make informed decisions how to improve matters.Well done !

Repetitive and foggy.......
This book presents an important approach to healing hashimotos the natural way. However it is doesn't hang together as a complete guide with a clear plan of action for one to follow. It reads more like a series of articles and seriously needs editing.......there is so much repetition throughout that it becomes difficult to see the path to healing. Also it is very geared up for the American reader with large sections of the book dedicated to private healthcare allergy testing services and supplements not always relevant to UK. It does list the likely triggers for hashimotos that one would benefit from addressing........but the book refers to so many triggers......it could be anything that triggers you......and where do you start? My main disappointment was not really being sure about how to eliminate or identify my triggers without costly testing and private health care support. .....every chapter keeps saying .....I will explain how to do this and that.....in the next chapter........and then you get to the end of the book and you are not sure which triggers affect you......very frustrating.......I hope the author seriously considers in investing in an editor to tidy up this offering

The most comprehensive thyroid resource!
This book is for anyone who is thirsty to know all there is about thyroid disease. This book has practically everything you would want to know about Hashimoto's, but it is so much more than that!In research there is always so much controversy but the author provides an easy to understand and balanced perspective on all things thyroid. If only all doctors were this knowledgeable about Hashimoto's! What an incredible resource!

Double 5 stars! Wonderful is an understatement.
2nd Update: Still reading and may not be even 1/2 way through reading the book. Why the rating?1) There is so much concrete information here.2) This is in depth and about as technical as most of us non-medical professionals can handle, however, Dr. Osansky is very good at making this highly technical information understandable.3) Comprehensive covers ALL the bases adrenal issues, triggers, stress, pathogens, diet, sleep, water, hormones, detox (chemical/electrical/+), exercise and more and as noted earlier there is a lot not just a smattering that leaves you wondering.4) There are tons of books out there on thyroid and even specifically Hashimotos but none compare to this; even the really good ones.5) My personal experience with this disorder. I was ready to start AIP when I started listening to the webinar, afterward, I was sure AIP was my next step. I've spent the past couple years+ clearing out pathogens, detoxing, upping the ante on dietary changes by getting tested for allergens and food sensitivities, I exercise regularly and daily practice multiple stress reduction techniques, am treating adrenal exhaustion, I'm on NDT and have been on 4 brands now plus years on Synthroid and Cytomel but my TSH is still high. When I increase my dose I get hyper (not good for adrenals or sleep and heart rate goes way up so exercise is difficult). I'm 11 days into the AIP and really feeling even better, I don't know where to turn to get that TSH down. I've felt horrible for over 20 years - brain fog, to overwhelmed to brush my teeth on a regular basis much less cook for myself. I have 3 great doctors (chiropractor, naturopath & general practitioner) who currently assist and direct (with more before- from coast to coast-literally San Franciso to Washington D.C.), but with my TSH high I have to do something else. I believe I have found the answers I need to turn this around. For some time now I have known my ultimate goal is to manage symptoms and then I found out it is possible to get the autoimmune component into remission, so that has been my newest goal. I hope to check back in with this review in another 2-4 weeks to update on progress. At this point, I recommend the digital version (handy to take along and the hard copy of the book - there is just too much information here and this is great reference information to have on hand and to be able to take to your doctor. This is breakthrough and must have information for anyone with Hashimoto's and probably Graves although Doc may have a book just on Graves since his personal experience is with that. I can't think of another medical condition that is so poorly handled by the traditional medical community, it's absurd and horrifying.1st Review: Upon receipt after the 1st day of not being able to put it down: Love the information in this book. If you want to heal your autoimmune Hashimoto's a must-read. I hope to check back in a month and post the outcome of following recommendations. Lots of information here, not just the usual sales pitch as so many of these things are becoming. I recommend the online lecture series also. I have a number of thyroid books and have read many but this is a keeper. Thanks, Dr.Osansky

Genial

Soprattutto riducendo i motivi d'infiammazione. Grazie

A great resource and a stellar way to to learn about Hashimoto's
A close relative was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s a few years back. I’ve seen her struggle with it ever since so when I saw this book, I thought I'd read it to deepen my understanding of what she was going through. I’ve already recommended it to her. I have learned so much from this book as it is both detail-rich and thought-provoking. At times a little overwhelming for a lay but it’s clear that it was written for someone who is battling the disease day in and out and looking for answers. You will find plenty of those! What I really appreciate is that Dr. Osansky takes the time to unpack the science and provide the reader with a solid foundation. He takes a holistic or functional approach to dealing with the disease and all his recommendations are rooted in the latest research and 'what we know.' That's exactly it, Osansky, openly recognizes the limits of what we can know and I welcomed both his transparency and modesty in helping readers understand how they might tackle an autoimmune disease as complex as Hashimoto's.I couldn't agree more that health begins in the gut!
