A great tool for anyone who deals with small things !
Well made quality piece of kit. The item to be viewed must be at the same distance as the measuring scale on the loupe (i.e. it has to be in contact) to focus clearly, but once you do that, the view is bright and clear. Great for reading faded labels, looking for breaks on circuit boards and inspecting surfaces for defects or blemishes.

Just right
Exactly what I needed for work. It is of a decent quality and excellent value.

Pretty Good
I bought this for cleaning/adjusting the stylus on my turntable. The illumination is very good, but the focus is completely non-adjustable. The focal plane is exactly on the "metal window" on the reverse, which is perfect for a diamond on a table (I imagine...) but not one stuck to a tiny lever beneath an overhanging headshell...Happily, by unscrewing the metal back plate, I can now use it as I intended.

Disgusting marked plastic lenses.
Works ok magnification fine, but look at the state of the two plastic lenses! Absolutely shameful! Tried cleaning them since I took the picture but had no luck. The outer lens appears to have some sort of blemish in it too. However these marks can’t be seen when in use on the subject. So I suppose I will reluctantly hang on to it.

I like Engineer products but not this...
I like the Engineer brand and have a number of their tools. I am returning it.As mentioned by another reviewer the plastic lens is awful. It’s size is awkward. Those batteries aren’t needed. A single LED rather than a ring. It’s feels cheap in the hand. I was not able to see what I needed to see with this tool.In this instance I’d assume a product of Chinese origin rather than Japanese.
