Plate Compactor Tamper - Pad / Mat / base plate cover with mounting clamps

Must have for polymer sand install

I used this product with a rental plate compactor equipped with a water tank for asphalt compacting. I had a little difficulty attaching it without damaging the the water spraying mechanism. After I figured that part out and tightened the clamps enough that they would not vibrate loose the the product worked as advertised. No scratches or broken paving stones. It would be nice to have a lock-nut mechanism on the clamps. I have only used this on about 200 square feet of paving blocks at this point so I cannot speak to the long term durability of the pad, but I have more projects I am working on and plan to use it many more times.

It kept the surface nice. The only issue was the clamps were not strong enough to hold the pad on when we were in a fight space turning a lot. I am going to modify it a little. It saves the surface. We use it a lot on textured pavers.

perfect price and quality. It is just right. The only thing that could improve it would be a better positioning for the screw tightening the unit to the tamper . The angle is a little odd but functions perfect. I love it and would buy it again when needed. Many thanks i looked for this for a while anlad to finally find this item thank you

Works excellent on my larger Bomag compactor but it wouldn't fit on my small Wacker. Does a great job eliminating scratching on pavers, wish I had started using a pad like this year's ago. Shipped to my door in two days.

Purchased to use on my Mikasa tamper. The clamps aren't wide enough to go over the edge of my machine. It's a neat design, but not as universal as advertised. Also, shipping took for ever, even after I paid for expedited shipping. Tried returning it. Seller does not cover return shipping. Waste of time and money.

Worked like a champ on a 20" vibrating plate rental from big box store, home depot. 500sq pavers completed.

It works on Clay Brick on its side i. It was what I needed for the project I was working on. Clay Brick laid flat I am not sure. On concrete pavers it would work. I was glad this was available for purchase.
