Affordable and Effective
We have used these since we had our pool built 4 years ago. They work! We do not find dead frogs in our pool. We have also seen them save lizards, one tiny snake, and countless insects. Our neighbor often finds dead squirrels in his above-ground pool with no off ramps. We have never found a dead squirrel in our pool.

Saves many a small animal
I just opened my pool after a long winter. Day one and critters are already jumping in. So I got this. Last year I had another rescue floater like this, but it was junk and rotted inside of a month. This is inflatable (takes a few seconds to blow up). I put a roll of lead rope (used for fishing weights) in the flappy piece. At first I thought I had it upside down. I would think the side with the netting-like material should be on top, but it's in the water. Usually I get a mole a week, and 1-3 frogs a day in my skimmer. After I put this in, not a single animal died in my pool. It's only been a month so far, but it's working better than expected. The side wings collect leaves, but they allow animals to climb up onto the floater part. I will need a heavier weight in the pocket on the concrete. Several times a week I can see it moved as if a larger animal climbs on and moves it. Five pounds should be enough. I have this on the opposite side of the skimmer. It's closer to the grass where they come from. My guess is they enter near it to get a drink and scamper off. If I had it by the skimmer, they would go in by the grass and never make it to the skimmer side. I'd buy this again. Built good and works well so far.

Not just for frogs! It saves the squirrels too!
FANTASTIC PRODUCT! It saved dozens of squirrels from drowning in the water on my pool’s winter cover. I had it on all last winter and all the wildlife that fell in was able to get out quickly with one at each side of the pool. I did have to add a large safety pin to them so I could hook a small bungee cord on in order for them to hand down far enough to reach the water in my particular pool, but it was worth it. It didn’t blow out of the water when it was windy either. I only wish I had discovered this item sooner.

Works well
Held up for 2 seasons in NC. I wish it was a zipper instead of Velcro, I was constantly ending up with the rocks falling out by the end of the first season. Works well to decrease the number of critters in my skimmer.

If you have a pool, you must get this! It Works!
This actually works! I used to wake up to multiple dead, floating frogs in my pool before I purchased this. Now I rarely have one. I highly recommend it.

Savin’ all the critters!
Listen, I live in the woods. I love wildlife. I don’t love critters in my pool. It’s sad when they don’t make it, even sadder when they decompose and their sicko biffo bodies come apart in the trap. Eww. My son is in charge of Saving. All. The. Frogs. He used to capture 6 a day in the traps or with the skimmer, rinse them in a bucket of fresh water and set them loose (eventually). He’s 5, and our family pet died when he was 3, so he’s okay with lifecycles. He’s 5, and he doesn’t really notice the difference in appearance of a live versus a dead stiff frog. I was mortified to find him holding and petting a decaying zombofrog. It’s skin and feet were falling off, but it miraculously moved away when I swatted it out of his hand. Double eww, and I think I screamed. This year I resolved to get up in the mornings to check the traps ahead of my boy, freaking out that I might have to deal with anything that slithers (I am not lying, I touched a snake once in the trap without knowing what it was until it slithered back out into the pool and from then on I made my kids do that business), when an ad for this product popped up on FB. What?! How had I not seen this before??? Does it actually work, or will frogs laugh at it and swim straight into the trap of death? I had to know, so I read 3 good reviews and the bad ones too. It’s legit. I bought it and was able to get 1-day shipping so I could examine it before we even opened the pool. No assembly required, just place it in the pool near the filter traps and observe. We have 22,000 gallons and 2 traps, but frogs are only ever in 1 of the traps, so I bought 1 to start. First morning after: NO FROGS. Did you catch that? I said no frogs. I thought something must have happened to the frogs, because no product is this genius. A bear came over, opened the pool gate latch, had a frog snack and then locked up. Must be. The next night we had a heavy rain and the FrogLog was dislodged from the side of the pool. I found 3 frogs hanging out on the mesh like it was a lily pad. All 3 were in great shape, but I have to admit it was a little tough to get them out of the pool- as I approached with a slimmer to pull them in, they all bolted into the pool at their own peril. I eventually caught them all. Now if I remember to I anchor the ramp with a large rock and it stays put. There was an instance when it’s floatiness was challenged: a frog-couple would not detach for any reason, and although “bottom” had made it to the edge of the FrogLog, “top” prevented her from jumping up effectively and so “bottom” stayed in the water most of the night while that jerk, “top”, was totally fine. If not for poor “bottom”, we would have had a 100% survival rate!

Brilliant. I am sure this has saved loads of frogs, because on the rare occasions I have forgotten to put it back in the pool often there was a frog in the pool the next morning. Mine has lasted for years although it has faded significantly over that time. Great product.

If you get any sort of little creatures in your pool, this is for you! We were on vacation in Florida and saw these. I order them immediately. Frogs, squirrels, mice, moles...any little thing that falls in (and around here, they fall in a LOT) will eventually find it's way to the pad and, at the very least, have a safe place to sit until I can get them out. (Some creatures don't seem to get that they can climb up the little mesh and be on their way so they just sit there). It works great and I don't have to take little dead things out of my skimmer every day. And the other best part...you get to see that frogs, mice, and other little creatures can all get along on the same 'boat' together until help arrives. :-)
