Our cutting boards see constant use- we bought this one & the small Caraway as well. We wanted non-plastic,, not super-heavy, and beautiful cutting boards for daily use. The Good: Durability: Three months in, and the board has held up fantastically. It hasn't chipped or cracked, even with heavy daily chopping. No Warping: I know some other reviews mention the board bowing, but I have experienced absolutely zero warping. It sits perfectly flat on my counter. Smart Design: The recessed juice grooves are a lifesaver for cutting fruits, keeping the liquid off my counters. The Not-So-Good: Active Upkeep Required: Unlike plastic boards you can just throw in the dishwasher, this requires manual cleaning and periodic conditioning to keep the wood from drying out. But the tradeoffs are well worth it. Pro Tips: Daily Washing Routine: I always hand wash it and immediately set it vertically on a drying rack to air dry daily. Never let it sit flat against a wet counter! Oil Regularly: I oil the board every 3-4 weeks. This is the absolute secret to keeping it completely flat, preventing warping, and making it look brand new. The Final Verdict If you don't mind spending a few minutes a month on oiling, I highly recommend this board. It’s a gorgeous, premium piece of kitchen gear. Skip it if you want a zero-maintenance tool that you can toss in the dishwasher.

After using these for a few weeks, I’m giving them 1 star. I can’t stand the indentations. I suppose they are for holding unwanted pieces of whatever you’re cutting, but I find that they are unnecessary, take up too much of the cutting space, and make scraping off the board much more difficult. I prefer a solid flat cutting board unless I’m carving meats and want a board that can collect the juices. It’s nice that the set comes with 3 sizes and has a holder, but I’ll be getting rid of these.

Sturdy, clean easily, non toxic

My wife and I got this as part of our campaign to reduce the amount of plastic touching our food. The good: It's tough, great size, and healthier than plastic boards The bad: needs more care than plastic boards, tends to warp if not dried fast enough. But this was expected.
