Oh, my, this is good lokum. The flavor is delicious; I think it's pretty pomegranate-flavored rather than anything else (it's more on the sweet end than the tart, but it's quite definitely pomegranate). It was also very fresh when it arrived; the texture is perfect. My one complaint is a kind of universal complaint with many brands of lokum: there always looks like there's going to be more in the box than there actually is. I'm not sure there can ever be *enough* lokum in the box, though, when it's delicious.

I love Turkish delights from Hazer Baba. My favorite is the classic pistachio, almost tied by rose and pomegranate. The pomegranate tastes like pomegranate and are not overly sweet--once you bite through the powdered sugar. Turkish delights are perfect with tea and coffee--but the pomegranate in particular goes great with Winter gin cocktails.I had never had pomegranate Turkish delight before so it was an exciting find on Amazon. I ordered right away as a gift for my husband. (Pomegranates being the traditional New Year fruit.) He really likes the pomegranate, too and I am sure we'll order again.

But not really the right consistency for Turkish Delight. I've had TD a number of times, and it's supposed to be quite a soft jelly. These were way too chew, closer to gummy bears. The flavor was spot on, but they need to work on the recipe a bit more.

We like this stuff. It's an interesting, stiff-gel-like texture, and definitely a sweet. The flavor is so good! Eat sparingly, though. It's not to fill up on. It must expand, or something, because after eating about 4 squares, about 20 minutes after that I get a bit of nausea. Not enough to make any difference or to remind me to avoid it in the future, though.
