Much better than I expected
For the price, I wasn’t really expecting much but was happily surprised by the quality when this strap arrived. I smelled that great scent of fresh leather when I pulled it out of the package and noticed the quality feel of it immediately. It was a little stiff as I would expect but softened up perfectly after a short time of working it around in my hands for a while. Installs on the watch easily and is very comfortable on the wrist. And best of all it looks fantastic!

Perfection
This is a perfect product. Imagine everything positive from the construction to the leather and it is all true. This is made by people who think that genuine perfection is not just a reasonable goal, but expected. Details: The leather is really thin and is AMAZING for a NATO strap. And it's as soft as anything; I don't think it's kid leather, but it's soft enough that it doesn't matter. (And no nonsense about tough leather: If the skin on the inside of your wrist is calloused, then you aren't living your life correctly.) And that genuine-leather smell is just refreshing. It's a perfect match for my brown Seiko 5. Buy this: You will be happy.

Genuine, supple leather NATO strap is really comfortable!
Pros:- genuine leather- no need to break-in; already quite flexible- plenty of length- looks greatCons:- rings could be slightly smaller (I only double-backed the strap into the last ring, so that should be the only “large” ring, while the others could be smaller… they do lay flat though, so they helps)

serious dye transfer!!
i do like the leather band, classic nato.. easy to swap out for another band. cheap, decent stitching, lovely color, but once exposed to sweat/moisture, will transfer the dye to skin/clothing/and other surfaces something fierce!!

Installed on my Rolex GMT Master II: Batman, my Rolex GMT Master II: Coke, and my Rolex Submariner
I wanted to spice up my Rolexes: GMT Master II: Batman, GMT Master II: Coke, and Rolex Submariner; I saw a bespoke site, and other Rolex owners replaced their bracelets with leather NATO straps; hence, I did a search, and Benchmark popped up.I decided to take a chance, after all, it’s only $16.Once I took possession an custody of the two Benchmarks I ordered, I was very happy with the:- Excellent quality- Comfort- Excess tab-length to fold back onto itself- Great natural leather fragrance- DurabilityFor my three Rolexes, the space between the lug springs and lugs is narrow; hence, the Benchmark leather straps are a bit thick to slide through; so, I had to remove the lug springs to my Rolex GMT Master II: Coke, Rolex GMT Master II: Batman, and my Rolex Submariner, and I placed the Benchmark leather straps in place to the lugs; then, I installed the lug springs — a minor inconvenience, but super easy to install.I’d rather have thick substantial leather rather than thin cheap-feeling flimsy leather. The Benchmark leather straps are substantial and strong — I’m very pleased with my purchases. After my first two purchases, shown in my pictures, I bought 10 more Benchmark leather straps for my other wrist timepieces: Hamilton Khaki Automatic, Chopard Limited Edition Mille Miglia, Seiko Pogue, and Seiko Diver./s/ Alfonso Faustino

Very Nice for my Seiko SNK805
After eight years of owning a Seiko SNK805, I finally niced it up with this strap. On the one hand I always liked that little (37mm case) automatic Seiko. On the other hand I never really liked the green military-style strap it came with. Plus the watch always felt a bit too small for my wrist. Well, it only took eight years, but I finally realized changing the strap might be the way to go. I ordered the 18mm "sand" colored one because it provides such a nice contrast with my Seiko's olive green dial. There are some complaints about the strap being too thin, but I disagree. A thick leather strap for a NATO/Zulu style strap would provide too much bulk (plus it has to fit through the spring bars!). This one gives my Seiko just that little bit of extra heft it needed. A thicker strap probably would be overkill for this Seiko, but your mileage may vary with a different watch. There are different ways of wearing a NATO/Zulu strap. For this watch, I prefer the one whereby the extra flap goes on the opposite side of the wrist from the watch. That way, all the buckles and the bulk of the strap nicely balance out the watch, both in weight and appearance, giving it a nice symmetrical look and feel.In short: it's great. I find myself looking at an eight-year old watch like it's a new one.Update: Got a second one (dark brown, smaller stainless steel buckles) for another watch for Christmas. Same quality, and I love that one too.

I cut it.
The media could not be loaded. Shown on my Hamilton khaki field mechanical 42mmThe first thing I did was cut off the flap that "secures" the watch. That part is mostly useless and adds to the height of the watch when it's on your wrist. (I do this with all my NATO/Zulu straps) Just be sure that the watch doesn't accidentally slip out of the strap when putting it on.Also, without that piece I can readjust the watch on the band so the buckle is in a more traditional position (opposite of the watch on my wrist)After removing that piece, I was curious to see how strong the leather was so since it's pretty thin. I'm a pretty strong person and I tried to pull it apart as hard as I could. It stretched (as all leather would) but it surprisingly did not break. I was impressed.I Would recommend. I'm sure it won't last forever but it's cheap, feels great, and looks good.If you plan on cutting off the "security strap" then be prepared to punch new holes in the strap. I'm on the 3rd to last hole and I have an 8" wrist. I imagine people with slimmer wrists would need to punch new holes.

Good for the price.
Good solid band. It is genuine leather as described. Not the fanciest and the rings don’t hold the strap end perfectly. But I’m really picky and I am satisfied. Price was right too.

It's a very nice Zulu style nato band.
It's a very nice band..nlce leather .it stretches a bit over time...and I don't think you want to put too heavy watch on it. It has nice soft leather and wears comfortably . I also appreciate the length. The buckles are placed in good spots ,they are functional but never touch the watch. After a month since purchase I still feel good about it.

Strangely large.
The band looks and feels nice, but it's weirdly long. I don't have particularly small wrists, but I am on the smallest hole, which leaves a long dangly bit at the end. I'll likely need to cut new holes as the leather stretches and trim the end off. Not ideal.
