Birch & Meadow Black Cocoa Powder, Unsweetened, Dutch Processed, Baking (14.4 Ounce)

The best black cocoa powder I have tried. We use this in smoothies and Creami ice creams. This has the best flavor but also dissolves quickly and is very finely milled. It’s less “hydrophobic” than others I have used. It’s pricy and I don’t get this one all the time but it really is the best black cocoa I’ve used.

This is good cocoa. I like to use whatever cocoa the recipe calls for then add more of this to add darker color and more chocolate taste. Superb for brownies!

This Cocoa has a rich dark chocolate taste. I use it with half and half and monk fruit sweetener in my coffee. This product is unsweetened and is strong and somewhat bitter without added sweetener. A tablespoon or so is enough for 12 ounces of coffee. The product takes a lot of stirring to completely dissolve in the coffee, as it clumps whether you add it before or after the coffee.

I bought this looking forward to rich, deep cocoa flavour but it let me down. It has the bite of a good dark cocoa but it takes quite a bit of sweetener to bring out any true chocolate flavour at all. I mix it with granulated allulose with a dash or two of liquid stevia; add a couple splashes of half and half and it’s pretty tasty. However, I am going to buy a lighter cocoa powder and mix it in to bring out the flavour.
