OdiySurveil (TM) 6 In Pack V-156-1C25 SPDT Micro Limit Switch, Long Hinge Roller Momentary Snap Action LOT

I wanted a sensitive microswitch that would only require a small amount of effort to switch the contacts, but I picked the wrong switch when I bought this one. It is industrial strength. I will keep these switches for use with another future project that will require a strong switch. In the meantime, I will search for a more sensitive microswitch.It would be nice if the pressure required to operate the switch was included in the description/specifications section on Amazon.com.

Going the job of turning the light on and off with the closet door

Strong clicking sound can be heard with the first few manual activation and release of the switches. After a few more pressing of the lever almost no clicking sound can be heard at each pressing but a weak sound is heard each time the lever is released. It seems that the unit is using poor springs or metallic elements that bend by the force of clicking and compromise the performance. This is supposed to be a 15 amp switch and as such it needs relatively high contact pressure, but it seems that the contact pressure becomes very weak after a few operations which would result in melting/oxidation of contact points in high current applications. Also one of the leads came lose upon soldering which failed the entire switch. All of six units all had pressure drop problem.

As the title says, 1 out of six was dead and cracked in half. Over all they work great though. Google the part number for the dimensions on them, digikey has a good drawing for them

The switches work, and do their job, but they are built cheaply. They are very light weight, and the rollers are plastic. I destroyed one with a bit too much heat from a soldering iron on the terminal. Be careful about temperature.
