Nice thin slightly textured cover that fits well
This keyboard cover fits perfectly. It comes in a nice cardboard sleeve to protect it from damage in transit or to store it if you decide not to use it all the time. It includes seven little dots or strips of two-sided tape if you want to attach it to the keyboard more securely. The product photos give a very good idea of exactly what the cover looks like on a keyboard. The cover gives a slightly softer feel than typing directly on the keyboard since the keys are hard plastic and the cover is a softer material. The cover is also slightly more grippy and less slippery than the keyboard. I prefer this, but the extra layer between your fingers and the keys gives a slight feeling that you’re not typing directly on the keyboard and also the feeling that you need to press just a little bit harder to active the keys. Neither of these bother me. By comparison, when I used a similar cover on a Mac, which I think has a keyboard with a nicer feel than the Magic Keyboard, I always felt that the typing experience was slightly inferior. I also think the keys sound faintly muffled and less “clicky” when you type using the cover. But the keys on the Magic Keyboard aren’t particularly “clicky” to begin with, so I don’t think this is a problem and most people probably won’t notice the difference. The cover stays in place without any slippage when you type. However, it lifts off the keyboard each time you you open the keyboard and then sticks to the keyboard or falls down at an angle, both of which require you to reposition the cover. This only takes about a second and, if you only open the keyboard a few times a day, it’s a very minor annoyance. However if, like me, you tend to do short bursts of typing and then close the keyboard, having to reposition the keyboard each time you open it can become quite irritating. The manufacturer provides a solution for this problem in the form of eight small strips or dots of two-sided adhesive. The downside to this is that the adhesive creates dark areas under the cover. I think these look a bit icky. (You can see this if you look closely at the product video, but it’s more noticeable when you actually see it.) The adhesive also create a barely perceptible bump. I got used to the dark color and bumps pretty quickly and they don’t bother me. But if you’re very particular about the appearance of your iPad, you might not like the adhesive. It’s worth noting that the cover sticking to the screen relates to the construction of the iPad and keyboard, not a defect in the cover. I used a similar cover on a Mac and it never stuck to the screen. Is a keyboard necessary? If you have a drink or other liquid near your iPad and think there’s a danger it might spill, it might be worthwhile to use a cover to help protect the keyboard since the Magic keyboard is very expensive. That’s particularly true if the liquid is a kind that might become sticky when it dries. If you spill a lot of liquid on the cover, it might still seep under the edges, so the cover may not offer complete protection from all spills, but I think it provides good protection against most spills. Another benefit of a keyboard cover is that it’s easier to safely clean the cover than to clean the keys since you don’t have to worry about water seeping under the keys. If you do a lot of typing and find yourself cleaning your keyboard frequently, that can be a big advantage. A final benefit of a keyboard cover is that it keeps you keyboard looking brand new. I used a keyboard cover on a Mac for over six years and, when I took the keyboard off to trade the Mac in, I was amazed to see that the keyboard looked like it had never been touched. I don’t have a keyboard on a Smart Keyboard Folio for an iPad Air and the letters on five of the keys are partly worn off. (The Smart Keyboard is made of a different, somewhat softer material than the Magic Keyboard, so I suspect that the Magic Keyboard wouldn’t show as much wear.) I’m very happy with the keyboard cover. However, if the Magic Keyboard was not so expensive and the keys were a nicer material than smooth, hard plastic, I would probably prefer to type directly on the keyboard.

GREAT idea, love it
I have an Apple keyboard case for my iPad. The letters start to show wear fairly quickly on the Apple keyboard, but then I found this and it works great!! I even bought 2 just to make sure I have a spare, as the price was very cheap. I attached pics of my naked keyboard and one with the keyboard cover to show the diff. I notice, after having the cover for several months, that the "T" + "E" seem to be wearing a bit, but it is STILL very readable and MUCH better than my naked keyboard. The cover is also washable with a sponge and soap. SO glad I found these, as I had also bought an entirely new keyboard case that has to be charged separately and is more of a pain than this little cover. Also, be careful to ascertain that the cover exactly matches your keyboard, as some covers have 4 rows and some have 5 and even among those, some of the cover "key" shapes are different. This one fits my iPad perfectly and stays put!!

Perfect protection for your iPad Magic Keyboard
I was hesitant purchasing this based upon some of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised when receiving this. Because I have medium length fingernails, I wanted to find something to protect my magic keyboard for my iPad from scratching the letters off. This is a very thin keyboard (so thin you can actually see the adhesive stickers through it) yet still allows for the backlit keyboard to show through the cover (second photo is with the backlit keyboard on and the first is with it off). Plus, it fits the Magic Keyboard for the M4/M5 iPad perfectly!! I think this is the perfect way to protect your keyboard.

Sticks to screen
It fits and keeps the keys clean. But it doesn’t stick to the keys. In fact it keeps sticking to my screen when I close the folio. It’s only a small annoyance to have to remove the cover and place it back on the keyboard, but I’ve had other keyboard skins that stay on the keys and don’t jump to the screen. Also be aware you’ll have to use a little more effort to type, but that’s a trade off I find worth it to keep my keys clean.

If you’re looking for a quality keyboard protector for your new Magic Keyboard Case, this is it!
I had no idea they had keyboard protectors for this case, but when you spend THAT much money on a keyboard case for your iPad, you want to protect it, so I looked it up and came across this one, among a few others. I’m really glad I chose to order this one though, because it’s exactly what I needed! It fits perfectly, it protects the keyboard, it doesn’t have any gaps, and it’s a little easier to type on than most other keyboard protectors. I do have a very minor issue with the protector sticking to my iPad screen when I open it back up sometimes, but they do include a sheet of small stickers to adhere the protector to the keyboard if you choose to, I just personally don’t like to put any adhesive on my keyboards. So that problem could easily be solved if anyone else has that issue by using the included stickers, it’s just not a major enough deal for me to stick adhesive onto the keyboard! Overall, this thing works really, really well for the low price, and it feels really high-quality compared to the many other keyboard protectors I’ve bought over the years. I love it so much that I actually bought two more keyboard protectors from the same brand for my MacBook Pro 13”, and those are just as good, if not better, than this one!

Stays Clean As New!
We’ve been using these keyboard covers for our MacBook and Magic Keyboard for years and thoroughly enjoy its feel, durability, and size. Typing is unaffected, and we still appreciate how clean the keyboard looks when we remove this item. It’s hard to imagine not using one of these!
