Nice sound... Great for practice....

Nice clean sounds along with an overdrive sound. The boutique od was a pleasant surprise in how well it sounds. Don't expect it to get too heavy though. Only complain is that the aux output is not working (but there is a phone output where you can connect your aux so it's not much of an issue). Overall it's a quality product given at a relatively low price. Go for it if you are looking for a portable clean soundNOTE:The batteries are aaa meaning that they won't last long. If it stops working after some time the battery probably needs to be changed. My suggestion - get rechargeable batteries.

The product is amazing. A must buy, but there wasn't any batteries included. The product packet wasn't sealed. I believe the batteries were taken out. Not done.

I've been using this since the past one year. An excellent product for your electric guitar practice and travel needs. You can connect it to any speaker with an aux input and you get brilliant tones. I use it with a JBL Flip 4 and it is absolutely brilliant especially for playing leads. There are three amp channels - the green (great for high mid leads, crunch riffing, or even an almost clean tone by getting the gain knob to zero), the orange (for rhythm guitar requirement) and the red (high gain & lead). Also there are 3 effects with 3 presets each thus giving you 9 patches. You can further combine those with amp channels to get a total of 27 adjustable patches (you can still adjust the tone and gain). You can also connect an aux input through a dedicated socket. Overall, this is a brilliant mini amp and at the current price, it's a no brainer. Especially useful for those quick practice sessions and travel

I felt having cables run across the room from the instrument to the amp makes one feel constricted, with this I'm able to practice silently and also hear the metronome using my phone plugged into this little amp I felt that my rhythm has improved by practicing using this little amp and my in-ear monitors.another huge help is I own a cat it always starts playing with the cable and distracts while I play using the Vox amp plug my practice sessions are undisturbed since my setup is tight.

This is a good tool for silent practice. Has nice sound quality, including crunch tones, effects, etc. This can help big time if you want to practice silently without disturbing your spouse.Shane it has so poor construction. First, the design sucks and it does not sit flat on the guitar, causing it to get bumped (doesn't matter which guitar). Second, the controls are positioned oddly so you don't have easy access. Third, it uses cheap plastic so it won't have a long life , especially with it getting bumped.Mine broke within a month with light use. Point of failure was the input jack which came out of its plastic shielding. Definitely not buying this again.Now, I have few choices for silent practice. One, I can practice without amp - if guitar is good, it will be loud enough for practice and mine is. Two, get a long 3.5" cable and use headphone out of your amp - now that amp may not sound as nice in some cases and my Blackstar Debut 10E is bad. Three, I can get a semi hollow or hollow body electric at some point to make silent practice easier - a Gretsch with a Bigsby is just so cool ;)

I needed an amp for practice but using those big watts amp are loud and disturbing. And I found this VOX amPlug2 here and it is perfect for me. It's a little bit beyond my expectation :D There is 1 input(aux) and 1 output(headphones), 3 controls for volume, tone and tempo volume(drum tracks). From the youtube reviews I watched, they said it has got 8 tracks but this one comes with only 3. I plugged my headphone in and it sounds awesome even though my headphone is just average. I plugged in the aux cable and now I can listen to both my bass guitar and whatever I'm playing in the pc. Requires 2 triple A batteries. It's made up of plastic so I'm not sure about the durability. Now I can practice all day long without bothering anyone. Perfect for tours too. Go for it!! You won't regret.

The product is good for practice with headphones on. It can also be played along by plugging in a CD/MP3 player at the AUX port. The input plug swivels 180 degrees. Three modes can be obtained by pressing the power button. The LED indicator Green=Tremolo OFF, Orange=Tremolo ON (medium) & Red=Tremolo (maximum). Three numbers of control are provided - Gain, Tone & Volume. The gain control is really good. Pressing the FX button sets Chorus, Delay, Reverb & FX OFF respectively with each press. There is no indicator for FX though. It is battery operated and 2 AAA size batteries are provided inside the package. A good product for practising without disturbing others.

I had one of these a while ago, it came with a bass i bought used. I sold it but definitely regret that decision, here we are several months later and I purchased this from Amazon.First thing, it’s very small and lightweight. I for sure wasn’t expecting much but once I plugged in headphones and turned it on, mind blown! This inexpensive, small and lightweight piece of gear sounds amazing! Also nice is you can really hear the difference between different basses, pickups, settings, etc…Volume is definitely not an issue, it is loud! My only wish is for this to include Bluetooth. It has an aux input, so it works great to plug in another headphone amp if you’re jamming with a friend, or to play along to music from your phone, mp3 player, etc., but Bluetooth would make it easier and make this next level.So if you’re needing a great way to practice without disturbing others or just want to keep it private, this is a great addition to your gear. You definitely won’t regret it!

The VOX amPlug 2 for bass is a fantastic tool to practice without 'bothering' neighbors. And the best part is that it allows you to plug your computer or cellphone via Aux cable (P2->P2) and play your bass over tracks.
