Sony WF-C510 -- Good Audio For Cheap
1) The sound of the WF-C510 is really good right out of the box without EQ. I listen to a lot of music, various genres, and everything is balanced and in control. Punchy bass, treble that's crisp and doesn't make my ears bleed, and decent mids. I definitely trust Sony when it comes to audio products.2) Fit and comfort are amazing! I can leave these in all day. No joke, after 5+ hours of use, I feel zero discomfort. Not only are these earbuds the most comfortable earbuds of all time, but getting a good in-ear seal is effortless. Just set them and forget them, zero hassle. Just to note, there's no ANC but I don't mind; I use these at home where it's already quiet. Further, there's a feature called Ambient Sound Control, kind of the opposite of ANC, that lets outside noises in (press button on left earbud). Obviously, the volume has to be pretty low for this feature to be useful.3) I rarely ever use playback controls on a pair of earbuds, as I just use my phone for that stuff. However, the physical buttons on the WF-C510 work like they should and it's always nice to have actual buttons over touch controls, mainly because there's less chance for accidental inputs, a common occurrence on my other earbuds.4) The battery life seems to jive with Sony's claims of 11 hours in the buds and another 11 in the case. I'm getting a 50% battery level after 5+ hours at a volume level above half with the "Sony Sound Connect" app installed on my phone. I'll admit, the 11 hour battery claim was the #1 factor for my purchase.5) The app gives you a ton of stuff to play around with. There's a bunch of EQs, 360 audio (more app downloads and payment required, I think), information regarding battery levels, and more.6) A couple of oddities: The charging case confuses me. Does the orange light turn off when charging is complete or does it stay lit? I've experienced both scenarios and both times the app said the earbuds and case were at 100%. The instruction manual was no help. Also, for some reason I had to re-pair the earbuds to my phone's Bluetooth after shutting it off, which was super annoying. I was testing to see if an older device (without the app) would pair, so to avoid interference I turned off my phone's Bluetooth. The older device paired with the earbuds just fine without the app, so it isn't required. I plan on deleting it; it's probably a major battery hog anyway.7) Minor issues aside, the Sony WF-C510 delivers premium comfort and pleasing sound. and they're super affordable. Get yours today! lolUpdate 3/25 -- Checking in to mention that the orange charging light on the case does in fact shut off to indicate that charging is complete and I'm still very happy with my purchase.

Great Sony buds for the price !
For the money a home run! Paired immediately out of the box and had some charge so I could give the buds a test ride and was no disappointed. Listed to my favorite music from a live Dead performance , Pat Methany and Weather Report and loved everything I listened to. Understanding the price point I was not expecting the quality of sound from the sharp highs, the comfortable mids and the not overly dramatic bass. The buds handled complex music well. The fit was good and comfortable and after a while I forgot they were in my ears .As far as the ap goes I installed and probably won’t play around with it much as I prefer my music neutral as it was recorded but that may change . The volume controlled from my Apple phone is more than enough.I highly recommend these for a $50 set of buds and as always l, you get Sony quality.

Would Be Five Star Except for One Major Flaw
The sound quality is great for the price, but in fairness, I use it mostly for podcasts and phone calls. I listen to music on occasion and have no complaints, but admittedly, I'm not a serious audiophile. That said, I love music. The battery life is outstanding, lasting me all day, and the charger case also holds its charge for a long time; I'd say easily 3 days. Also, they are quite comfortable, fitting quite well in my ear.The quality is also excellent, pretty much what you would expect from Sony. They connect very well to one or two devices, but you often need to use the app to connect as, more often than not, it cannot seem to find my phone, computer, etc. I don't look at that as a big deal, because the app works quite well, but it can be frustrating if you forget and spend a lot of time rebooting your devices in the hopes that the earbuds pair. However, this is not a major issue for me.The only major flaw is the limited customization allowed for the buttons. You can set each side to Playback (with functions that are not customizable), Ambient Sound (functions not customizable), or "Not Assigned". With other earbuds I have owned, including at lower price points, the button functions were highly customizable. That said, the less expensive and the more expensive earphones were otherwise inferior to the Sony model. In short, I highly recommend these earbuds with the one caveat about customization. If that's a dealbreaker for you, I'd look elsewhere.

Wonky App, Great Buds!
Just got these, d/l'd the app, and opened the case. Arriving with a 100% charge in both ears, they instantly connected to the app, and thus began the scavenger hunt to figure out how to use these things. Ultimately, I discovered how to set the EQ to my liking, explored a few other options, and then tried to connect to the manual so I could connect to my PC. The link in the app is broken, but a quick goog took me to the Sony product page. Good luck finding the "connect" button -- it's flush with the case, but easy enough to hold for 5 seconds. You'll probably have to charge the case back up -- I got a note about a minute after connecting that the case was low on charge.Once paired with the PC, they worked great. The sound is rich, but a bit forceful at first. I found plenty of bass in my music. You'll get used to it and if you don't like it, set the EQ in the app. I don't intend to use these for 2-way comms, but I will eventually connect to my phone for music play. They're comfortable, a lot smaller than the WF-XB700s I'm replacing with these. They fit snugly and seem to be firmly wedged into my ear canals. If something comes up, I'll update this review.

WF-C510 Earbuds.
Great cheaper alternative to new Raycon earbuds. Ever since they changed them. I was trying to find something similar to them and these were it. They sound better and fit about the same. Not noise canceling but about the same effect. Case and earbuds hold a pretty good charge that lasts all day. Would recommend.
