It's a good cardboard box Rotisserie!
Got this for my charcoal grill which I really wanted to rotisserie on, but I couldn't find a good attachment for the grill. After debating if I needed to get another grill so this attachment could fit, we decided to punch a few screws into a cardboard box to put the motor into, and thus now we have the most hillbilly rotisserie I think I've ever seen. The equipment works really well, surprisingly. After washing the stand and clips, they flaked/rusted slightly, but that is mainly cosmetic. The motor is powerful though. Like, it kept rotating the chicken without fail for over an hour, even when I didn't truss up the chicken itself super well and it was flopping over. It still grilled it very well, and I'm happy to say with a trussed chicken this thing works great. The only issue with my floppy chicken was the weight causing the pole to come loose from the motor (there's a hole that the skewer goes into and the motor rotates the spindle), but that was user error and chicken error, not the motor itself or the skewer pole. It's a fun gadget, and it makes surprisingly good chicken!

Yes!Get one!
I am hooked! This device turned my cooking world upside down! (Those were both rotisserie puns) .. truly a game changer. I have used this no less than ten times and I have a whole chicken spinning on the grill as I type. I know the premise is very simple, grill spinning meat. But what I didn’t realize was how fast it works and how delicious the flowers would be. A few pro tips from a new rotisserie-er: 1) buy some baking string (twine?) and use it however makes sense to keep your meat as aerodynamic as possible; 2) try brining or marinating even if you only have an hour or so.. it will still make a difference (even the most basic salt and whole peppercorns mixture will give you some extra flavor); 3) don’t burn your meat. This seems simple but I was lulled into thinking this slow and steady mechanism was fool proof, I was ever the fool. I burned my first beef loin and it was a sad evening. There is a tipping point after your meat is browned that things will move quickly so really keep an eye past that point. Keeping the lid open after you get a nice brown going will solve for that. All in all this has been a family favorite. My next move is to just throw a chicken on there without doing anything to it just to see how it goes. I am Convinced that it will make anything taste good. Updated photo 10/10: Decided to try a tomahawk steak on the rotisserie - brined it for a bit with a salt and peppercorn mixture, added a rub after the brine and put it on the grill. Delicious.

Works well!
Took us a minute to mount the brackets so we have a smooth rotation but we’re more than pleased with our first attempt. We will enjoy many more meals this summer and feel very accomplished adding a rotisserie to our grilling skills. Patience is a plus!

A must have
This was a great grilling tool and was very easy to set up. It has been durable and seems to be solid yet light enough to use.

Doesn’t easily fit char-broil grill???
Had to modify my “char-broil” 2 burner grill to allow lid to close without hitting the rod

Glad I Bought this Rotisserie!
Based on some of the reviews, I hesitated to get this rotisserie. However, it was reasonably priced and with free returns I decided to give it a chance. I am glad I did. It arrived on time and well packaged. Assembly instructions were easy to follow. I only needed a screw-driver to get it put together. This rotisserie fits my grill perfectly. I have a 4-burner Char-Broil grill. The motor is supper quiet and provides adequate rotation speed. I don’t know why, however, I expected it to be noisy. Things to note: 1. The cord is very short - it is one foot long! Luckily I had an outdoors extension cord readily available. 2. The clearance between the rod and the grill grate is less than I was expecting. However, appears to be sufficient. 3. The rod can fit two small chickens. However, it would only fit one large bird. The video and photo I uploaded show a 4.5 pounds chicken. Verdict: Given the price and it’s size, I recommend this rotisserie for 3 or 4-burner Char-Broil grills.

if you buy it to use in UAE, be careful, it is only 120 volt, not 220v, I didn’t notice and motor was burned in 5 minutes. However, I managed to buy a Replacement motor 220v, but the pin was little different, and had to grind it to fit the socket, after all this, it worked well. Also, its best fit is the 3 burner grill, where you can fix the brackets permanently, but I don’t thing it is good for 4 burner grill, as it will be short and need to fix one bracket on the cast iron grill.

Nach 15 min sprang die Sicherung raus und der Motor ist heiss und geht nicht mehr. Erster Einsatz...und letzter?

Like all universal retrofits some adjustments are neccessary. My Cuisinart grill is6 years old and recenty received new burners and grill. The rotissary was desirable for cooking without intense supervision in the hot weather. So far so good. I needed longer screws for the motor end as Cuisinart uses double wall construction and with supplied spacers the screws were too short. I had SS 10-24 x 1-1/4" and these worked fine. The opposite end I had to trim the vertical bearing plate to neatly attach it to the side wall. The lid closes with very close clearances. Overall, it seems to be a good product at an attractive price. Only time will tell how durable it is.

My Wife ordered this for me as a present. I was not aware it was a 120V US item, I assumed it just had a European plug on it. It ran for five minutes on the UK mains before burning out. I have now had to buy the UK motor for £21.
