Every sailor is a naysayer unless it's their boat and skills. 'this is garbage, etc etc'. Well, it's taped all over my sailboat in NYC saltwater, wind and weather and so far, granted just a season is holding well. I'll update if things go badly. By the way as comparison I'd also bought the 3M (800 I think) black tape everyone touts as wonderful for boat use. I've had nearly every instance of the bitter ends of those applications come loose - bilge electrical and exposed rigging uses.

Need to cover shrouds and life line connections to prevent Jib sheets from catching on turnbuckles and pins. This tape works as expected.

This is basically white electrical tape — not the stretchy, soft, rubbery rigging tape I am looking for to pad and protect sharp edges. Seems overpriced and I would have just used 3M electrical tape instead. Works well for taping ends of rope when cutting to length with a hot knife or for splicing.

$20+ daollers at a marine store , that is if you can find one. Marine supply stores are expensive and scarce. The shipping was fast, best price I have seen and I use it for anything that requires cotter pins to prevent snagging of clothing or scratches on my hands when I must work near the pins.

This is a great product, i just don't use it for stainless regging any more, but around the shop for other things like wires that have split open, bundling wires, and other things that need to be held together softly but strong.

Wrap this stuff around everything that could chafe your sails and they won't get chafed. Also works great for securing ties on your standing rigging and reducing metallic clicking sounds when you are moored.
