Saves a fortune on replacing the handle.
In the past I didn't know you could buy replacement springs and I used to replace the handles - very expensive. These work brilliantly but can be fiddly - you need the correct sized tools to open the circlips. I'm very pleased I went for these!

Recovers broken door handles.
The spring on door handles are the main cause for the handle failing. These replacements do effectively replace the original spring but are fiddly to fit, you will most likely need a set of Calliper pliers and lots of patience. That said, half an hour to save an irreplaceable £50 handle is time well spent.

Repaired door handle with broken spring
Replaced a broken spring on door handle. Worked a treat. Quite easy to fit, handle working fine now

With the right tool a cheap fix for broken springs in door handles
Not much to say on this one really. These are a perfect replacement for the broken springs in our door handles. I would suggest getting the Rolson tool to help fit them though - that is unless you like unnecessarily fiddly jobs and swearing!

Springs appear to be pressed from sheet steel
It was known that the internal spring on a door handle had broken and replacements were required. The original spring was constructed from round wire and had lasted almost 25 years! The springs in this pack are the same two-and-a-half turns (hook directly opposite the prong) but rather than wire, they are completely flat and appear to have been pressed form a sheet steel. Having fitted one, the handle was incorrectly positioned nearly vertically and, as a double-check, the broken spring was 'reassembled' to check that it closely matched another from the set.It was also found that the lever seemed 'soft' to operate and did not return from closed to open with the same snap as before. In fact, it was almost as weak with the new spring as with a broken one.Probably not the best choice on reflection.

Perfect
After 35 years the handle to my hall cupboard door suddenly went floppy. Broken springs. Enter these new handle springs. Easy to fit but circlip pliers will be needed. My cupboard now has the springiest handle in the house, and I have spare springs for the next failure.

Good item
Does an admirable job, and far less expensive than new door handles! The only comment I would make, other than that, is that the inner 'bend' could do with having a more acute angle so that it fits 'square' when assembling it into the handle.
