Broke after 2 months of light use

I am pleased to report that this power supply appears to be practically the same as the ones Lenovo ships themselves, only not quite as pricey. I have been using this with my LOQ very happily. It doesn’t whine, lack a ground connection, or have any other issues I associate with cheap power supplies. It isn’t as light as a feather, and it doesn’t feel as though they’ve weighted it down either.Compared to the original 170W power supply my laptop came with, this is larger with a bulkier AC plug (the end that goes into the brick) but, looking online, this seems normal that the 230W supplies are a little larger. This has a Velcro strap and plastic clip for people who are tidier than myself.The only niggle I can possibly come up with is that the DC cable doesn’t sit completely flush with the adapter, it seems a bit crooked. But it doesn’t seem worth docking a star for. The label is also done a bit lazily, copying the original but replacing instances of “Lenovo” with “Adapter” or a misspelling thereof, even leaving the rest of Lenovo’s EU contact address the same.I will be using this power supply at home, and keeping the original in my bag for travelling with. So I won’t get to test its physical endurance, but it will be plugged in just about all the time and I’ll report back if it goes bang.

I ordered this charger for my Legion 5 laptop that needs a 230 Watt supply. After testing the product out by running a graphically intensive game that got my computer under a good load the charger performed perfectly, no undervolt or crashing happened so it is supplying enough power. The build quality is good and feels solid although the insulation is a bit less flexible than an official unit, not a deal breaker considering the cost difference. Overall a competent product that does everything required of it, recommended.

I regret purchasing this 230W Legion charger. Unfortunately, after using it for just a couple of months, both chargers blew my fuses. One of them even emitted a terrible burning plastic odor, which was alarming and concerning for safety. It’s incredibly frustrating to spend money on something that fails so quickly, especially for something as essential as a charger. I would strongly advise avoiding this product not worth the risk.

I have a couple of Lenovo gaming laptops, which the normal lowered powered chargers (think 65w) were not able to cope with.This supports up to 230w and in this case had absolute no problems coping with the Legion laptops which came with 135w PSU from factory.The only downside is that this power supply is quite a bit bulkier than the low powered ones so it does add considerable heft to carry around - best if this was left at a desk with for example a docking station, rather than carry around in a laptop bag.Priced at around £46, it's certainly not cheap, but if you need the full 230W, then it's a reasonable price for such a high output power supply.

It broke after 2 weeks. The power pack just stopped giving charge.
