Changed cars and the adhesive on my blackbox was naff after unsticking it. This has been stuck on my new car for four months now and its stuck on exceptionally well UPDATE: changed cars again, bent my front door key trying to take it off!

I’ve used these adhesive pads to re-stick a dashcam which I had to move from one position in the vehicle to another. The original sticky pad was damaged in the removal process, and took a lot of careful cleaning from the glass windshield. This set has served purpose in the refitting, but this time I’ve used the electrostatic film on the glass. I then placed the sticky pad on top of that which gives me the advantage of an easy removal next time. I’d thoroughly cleaned the glass beforehand, and the transparent electrostatic film has held firmly to the screen. It seems to be a similar process to the fitting of protective covers on mobile phones, so it can be removed if necessary. Meantime it offers a great surface for the adhesive pads and my dashcam has been refitted quite easily.

My Dashcam conitually drops off the window in hot weather so i though id try these out. Whilst i have managed to mount my camera the instructions or lack of them mean im still not sure ive mounted the pads correctly. It would seem you have to stick the larger clear anti static pad to the window first and not over lap it onto any black raised pimple things that are at the top of most wind screens. Then stick the smaller pad directly onto the camera mount and remove the red backing and stick this to the antistatic pad previously mounted the windscreen. This sticks quite well and has stayed up but i havent had direct sun on the windscreen yet to test it with heat, the large clear pad doesnt look great when viewed from the outside but isnt terrible. The biggest issue i had was getting the red backing paper off as its stuck on so well i ended up damaging the adhesive pad on two just by trying to get it off.
